This pistol comes in a beautiful heavy duty case that is suitable to carry sensitive electronic equipment in it safely, it comes with a molded clip-on magazine carrier for 2 magazinesthat iscustom fitted for that model. It also comes with a molded plastic paddle holster. (or some other patented name for plastic)
BUT! it is for right hand use, andI am a lefty! Springfield armory does not offer left handed holsters for the XD-m as of yet, but possibly by fall of 2009. and the holsters designed for the XD, do not fit the XD-m verywellthey end upscratching the finish on the gun.
next problem, I do not wear belts! and my typical clothing does not even have beltloops on themto add a belt. So without wearing a western-styled cowboy action gunbelt, what are my options? When I am out scrounging around in the woods, I wear a nylon utility belt with my 4" barreled revolver in a nylon holster. it hangs a little low for what I would consider proper open-carry in a city setting. I was hoping for something that sits a little higher on my hip. Am I being forced to buy some new clothes and some beltsto have the abilty to carry properly? Suggestions?
back when I lived in another state , I had CCW provisions, and I carried my revolver in the small of my back in an IWB holster. (yes it was comfortable sitting with it there)
