1. URGENT Action Item for Loudoun members
***********************************************
We need to make it clear to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors
that they need to repeal any ordinances that contain provisions that
are preempted by state law. All those unenforceable and confusing
ordinances need to go.
Loudoun County members should attend AND SPEAK at the Board of
Supervisor's meeting TONIGHT (May 18th) at 6:30 PM so the County a
record of support for formally removing those ordinances.
If Loudoun keeps those ordinances on the books, VCDL will use a new
law going into affect on July 1 to take Loudoun County to court to
have the laws nullified and the judge can also award VCDL
reimbursement of its legal fees from the County after we win.
Loudoun County is also considering ordinances that restrict non-
firearm weapons for self-defense. The County needs to be told not
interfere with a person's right to self-defense.
The Board of Supervisors meets at:
Board of Supervisors Meeting Room
Loudoun County Government Center
1 Harrison Street, S.E. Leesburg, VA 20175
If you can't make it to the meeting tonight, then please contact your
Board of Supervisor member this week. Contact information can be
found here:

Pro-gun Board of Supervisor member Eugene Delgaudio is leading the
fight on these issues.
