Well coolusername when are we taking the lady folks to Vegas. I will no longer by ammunition in CA as of today. I refuse to give them any tax money from ammunition. This is the only way to hurt them is financially. California is going to loose millions due to this law.

Anyone want to join me in opening ammunition stores half a mile inside Arizona and Nevada on all the major roads lol.
Say the word man. Oh, and no, I will not help you open an ammo store half a mile inside AZ or NV! But I will 12 inches inside AZ and NV!!! Hmmm, I wonder how far off-shore we need to be? That might be a lot better! Fishin', shootin', gamblin'!!! How's that for a business model?!
We will be going to Yuma for a day or weekend trip sometime in Nov to start my stockpile. We are also looking at going to sedona for a short vacation sometime in Dec or Jan between semesters and I'm sure I'll make it by a gun store on the way home.

I suggest turning the star yellow with 4 smaller yellow stars to the right of it...just like the chinese flag. Then brand the bear with thehammer and sickle...for they are symbols ofsocialism. And turn some of the consonants backwards.

This is the letter I sent just your jackass Governor.

Your state is on the verge on bankruptcy, it cannot pay it's bills, you need revenue, revenue comes from sales tax, you just signed bill AB962 into law guarantying too push millions of dollars of sales tax revenue to your bordering states.

Is it that hard to understand that the only people you are hurting are the law abiding TAX PAYING citizens of your state? The BAD guys don't give a rats rear end about your stupid law, all you have done is inconvenienced them by making them drive farther for ammo and I'll bet you a cookie that they will drive to get it rather than give out fingerprints and whatever idiotic requirements you just passed.

Do you have any idea what prohibition did to liquor sales? You might as well roll out the red carpet for mob type ammo sales.

If you really want to help your state out, take everything the legislature gives you and do the exact opposite of what they want.

Why are you anti-law abiding gun owner people so damn stupid. End

I feel sorry for all you people that have to live in that shet hole of a state.

As for the ones that choose to live in that shet hole of a state, you get what you deserve.

Thanks for writing the letter to our Girly Man Governor. Even though it will have no effect whatsoever it is still good of you to voice your legitimate concerns and opinions, of which I agree with. I encourage everyone here to do the same, I have. Its important tomake our voices heard regardless of theoutcome...sitting (and fuming) in silencedoesn't do any good.

Schwartzenegger is out, he can't run again next year due to term limits. So he can basically do whatever he wants to with the bills that cross his desk with little to no repercussions. And AB962 spoke volumes about his political positions, his regard towards the 2nd Amendment, individual liberty, small business issues such as profitability and regulation, state sale tax revenues, and more. Its just one more reason why this state is no longer the state of choice for millions of Americans, but rather one to be avoided at all costs and somewhat of a ball and chain for those who live here.

On that note, with regard to those of us who live here, this bill has made many re-evaluate whether or not its worth continuing to live here. As anyone can imagine, picking up stakes and moving to a new state takes a considerable amount oftime and energyplanning, preparation, etc. Unless you're a single person without property and just happen to be nearing the end of your lease, and have the luxury of either quitting your job and finding a new one when you feel like it then you're pretty much stuck. So try not to denegrate us too much, as many here did their part to see this bill vetoed. Sadly, our constitutionally protected rights were infringed and trampled on bya personwho madean incrediblylarge fortune "playing" with the veryobjects thatwe value as necessary to the security of a free people that he clearlyregards as just props.

I think we should stick together, and not degrade our brother gunfighters

who are on the front lines in this state.

Yes some live in other free states, and thats fine.

Time changes and my homestate, Iowa has really gone down over the last 50 years. So what happened in Cal with this bill being signed into law, can happen in other states as well.

Liberty is a constent fight in all states. Harden Montana has a police force that was never suppost to be there and are taking over a prison thats unoccupied for

"Training purpose's" ??? yet the people in the town are doing nothing. This bill was passed because theres an agenda at hand that most won't believe.

Anti-gun, and anti-freedom and world domination.

So the freedom fighters are few, the ones who do love liberty and are willing to take a stand. So all OC'ers should continue to stand together, in all states.

Agreed, and sadly there is some truth to the saying "as goes California, so goes the nation." I want to stop this before it reaches any of the free states.

From CALNRA:

CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE ALERT
This information is accurate at the time this CAL-ERT was written and originally distributed. The NRA Members' Councils of California will keep you informed as issues affect your gun-rights in California.

NRA SPONSORS LEGISLATION TO REPEAL AB962!

Earlier this year, Assemblyman Curt Hagman introduced Assembly Bill 373 related to the sales of handguns. AB373 was sponsored by the National Rifle Association in order to streamline the ability for law-abiding Californians to purchase handguns.

Now that Governor Schwarzenegger has signed AB962 into law, people are already becoming aware of the damage that it will do to California and it's citizens. Therefore, the NRA and Assemblyman Hagman have agreed to amend AB373 into legislation that would repeal AB962. The newly amended AB373 will be heard in the State Legislature in January of 2010 so we must be ready for these hearings.

All of California's firearms owners, dealers, shooters, hunters, collectors, clubs/organizations, and ammunition vendors, should be prepared to join in this effort to repeal AB962. This will not be an easy fight, but it is possible to win if we all stick together and act in an organized manner.

We, the NRA, will have specific activities that everyone can participate in during this important effort. Please stand-by and be prepared to help. There is no good reason not to be part of the team.

Read the NRA-ILA News Release regarding Governor Schwarzenegger's counter-productive signing of AB962 Here

As a first-step in this process; please contact Assemblyman Curt Hagman and thank him for demonstrating his leadership by using his legislation (AB373) for this very important effort to repeal AB962. His office phone number is 916-319-2060 and you can email him Here

H Paul Payne said:
CALNRA: LETTERS TO THE LEGISLATURE SUPPORTING AB373 (Updated: Online petition!)
Almost everyone now knows that the NRA is currently engaged in an effort to repeal the ammunition buyer registration scheme (AB962), that Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law, by passing AB373 next year.

As you might have heard NRA-ILA CA State Liaison Ed Worley say on NRANEWS.com , we are planning to deliver a huge number of support letters to the Capitol during the Legislative Hearings on AB373 in January 2010.

We can't do this alone. We need everyone to get together and help us gather the volume necessary to be heard. And we want our message to be so "loud" that EVERYONE hears it.

Please download the letter at this link: http://www.calnra.com/doc/supportab373.pdf and print as many copies as you wish. Circulate these letters and send them back to me as soon as possible. Distribute them at gun clubs, Members' Councils, gun shows, gun stores, and anywhere else you can think of.

EDIT/UPDATE: Mike Haas was up all night creating an online petition version of the AB373 support letter. Go to REPEAL AB 962 Petition to sign the letter of support online.

Forward this message to every list of gun owners that you have. Send it to everyone!

I would like to have tens-of-thousands of these letters to drop on the Capitol during the first hearing!

Please help us continue to fight for our Second Amendment freedoms here in the Golden State.

BTW, for those of you looking for the exact text of AB373, the language has not been returned by the legislature yet. We will post the actual text of AB373 when it officially exists.

Currently, we are out-in-front of everything on this and that is where I want to stay.

Paul
