did that ever pass are we a Castle Doctrine state now?

Well it did not die in committee, so it's still alive. It passed it's 3rd reading according to NRA, but I don't think there has been a vote to adopt it yet. What worries me is that the NRA info only relates it to the home. It may have lost some of the other language to protect self defense anywhere you have the legal right to be. Not sure on that completely though.

The DA right to carry and some other law about renewing permits is still alive also. S 11 and HB1132 respectively.

Some of them died in committee before the deadline. HB 257, state of emergency seizure, HB 269, park CC, HB 70, restaurants serving alcohol CC, HB 892, purchase permit repeal, SB 329, right to hunt; all are dead for know.

Anyone know which of the anti gun bills died as well?

First thing that needs to happen is bills need to be referred to committee. Since crossover the only introduction was one resolution. Basically they have not had sessions, only committee meetings.

The reason H 1450 is a bad bill is that sheriffs have wide discretion in how and to whom they issue pistol purchase permits. Sheriffs can deny a permit based on whatever the sheriff decides is good moral character. Sheriffs also MAY issue purchase permits and some use this to limit the number of handguns a person can buy. Some counties as few as 2 per year.
