According to MCL 28.425a (9):

(9) The legislative service bureau shall compile the firearms laws of this state, including laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol, and shall provide copies of the compilation to each concealed weapon licensing board in this state for distribution under this subsection. A concealed weapon licensing board shall distribute a copy of the compilation to each individual who applies for a license to carry a concealed pistol at the time the application is submitted. The concealed weapon licensing board shall require the applicant to sign a written statement acknowledging that he or she has received a copy of the compilation. An individual is not eligible to receive a license to carry a concealed pistol until he or she has signed the statement.

Anyone know where I can find a copy of this Compilation of the Firearms Law of the State of Michigan? I tried http://www.michigan.gov/ag/0,1607,7-164-17334_17362_22672---,00.html and clicked the Compilation of all state firearm laws link, but all I got was:

ERROR
Access Denied
*
Access Denied by security policy The security policy for your network prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your administrator if you feel this is incorrect.

Every other link I click on that page works fine and I have never seen this particular error message previously.
So, if anyone has a pdf of it, please share.

I noticed that the "Firearms Laws of Michigan" link you gave was the NEW update, dated March 2009. The old one was 2005, as I recall. Anyone having the "old" version should update.

Big Brother doesn't want you to click that, my man. Don't worry though... I tried it too and it seems he's got us both on the same list.

For real though... the Michigan site has been a little quirky lately. I've come across a few links that are similarly inoperable.

I think mine was from 2007, but I'm not entirely sure.

They dated it March, due to the changes that happened in January.

Last I looked (3 weeks or so ago) the local PD had the old version in print, still, and were handing that out with the CPL packets.
