For sale or trade: Colt Cobra

As you can see, it's an earlier model Cobra with the unshrouded barrel. It has a worn finish, but it still goes bang every time you pull the trigger. Small and light and easy to carry. Holds 6 shots of .38 Special.

Now for the bad:
Some idiot previous owner used it as a movie prop. For some reason they wanted to put a suppressor on it, so they put threading on the inside of the barrel in order to fit it. So the barrel only has 1'' of good rifling. The threading throws the shots way off. To put it simply, this gun is not fit for carry in its current state. Past point-blank range it's just not accurate at all.

That's really the only issue. It needs to be rebarreled. Barrels cost around $70 I believe, and should be installed by a qualified gunsmith. The alloy frame on the Cobra is easy to damage by shoddy gunsmithing.

The price is $250

I'm willing to trade for a decent quality pocket pistol in .25 or .32 or even .380. I'd also be willing to give the gun and some cash for another Cobra or Detective Special with a good bore. I'm fairly broke at the moment, so I don't have tons of cash to spend.

If you have any interesting trades I'm willing to see them.

(no, the gun isn't pointed at me in the 2nd pic)

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention I'm currently in Pullman. FTF transfers only, bring a CPL.

I've got a Tula Mosin Nagant 91/30 with a counterbored bore and a stock I'm working on stripping and refinishing I'll trade you if you wind up on this side of the state. It's not pretty, but it goes bang and is accurate enough for hunting, or Stalingrad.

Hmm... that sounds intriguing..

I'm really looking for another deep concealment piece more than anything. Heck, even a NAA mini would do, but I do love Mosin Nagants, haha..

If I still have the Cobra when I get back that way, I might take you up on it. :D
