This building is owned by the Flint Community Schools But is it considered a school for gun carry.

There are no class rooms, students, teachers, nor it it attached to any other building.

The closest school building is about 1000 feet away across the street an behind the art center.

[align=left]Many years ago the Sarvis Center is where I would enroll in adult high school classes. Back then in the 80's, the center was use primarily for administration of adult classes for Flint Community Schools.[/align]

(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), a person who assaults another person with a gun, revolver, pistol, knife, iron bar, club, brass knuckles, or other dangerous weapon without intending to commit murder or to inflict great bodily harm less than murder is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 4 years or a fine of not more than $2,000.00, or both.[/align]
[align=left](2) A person who violates subsection (1) in a weapon free school zone is guilty of a felony punishable by 1 or more of the following:[/align]

[align=left](b) Community service for not more than 150 hours.[/align]
