Feinstein is the author of the 1994 AWB that Clinton signed . It seems that the gun grabbing bunch have backed off lately however their stacking of the deck is in overdrive .

What crisis would be big enough to destroy the Second Amendment ?

How about Israel taking out Iran's Nuclear Program without the backing of the U.S.A ?

No...Israel attacking Iran would not destroy the 2A here.

It would have to be domestic--either something major, or a lot of little events that make the people cry out to the government to protect them--and for which they would be willing "to give up rights to get protection"....similar to what happened on 9-11-01.

New Orleans was a test case--where Nat'l guard and police were knocking down doors and confiscating firearms--and for which the people in the disaster zone stood by and simply bent over and went BOHICA...

The recent attempt to conduct a military exercise in Iowa where the national guard was supposed to train to go door to door in a house to house search "looking for a weapons dealer"....supposedly it was an innocent exercise where they used people living in the area as actors who would be willing to let them in to search....innocent? hardly.

The government is after the firearms, and after our rights regardless of all of the lip service they pay to the contrary--all they have to do is make sure the people are afraid enough to be willing to give up more of their rights--the pump has to be primed.
