Has anyone here applied DURACOAT or GUNKOTE to any of thier firearms.

If so, which one did you use, and, how does it hold up to holster wear and cleaning solvent's ?

Both of these product's have either a "spray&bake" process, or a "spray and air dry for a week" process.

I know the "key" to any application is the degreasing / roughing the surface ( if applicable ) and other prep work before you spray the coating. And the spraying part, is fairly easy also.

Im sorta leaning toward the duracoat because you can coat 2-4 handguns for $50 bucks.

If you have"first hand" experience,or if you know of someone that used one of these products, I welcome your input...
