Blame the victim. Classy.

I guess those whores deserved getting raped, wearing skirts instead of a proper flowery dress...

Too bad the cop had to make an idiot remark.

That's probably why they had him paired off with someone a lot smarter. His partner obviously had it together and probably keeps the dumber partner from getting in over his head.

Cities try to hire smart cops but sometimes the budget just goes so far and they have to settle for less than perfect.

Damn, you have some serious restraint. I would like to think I would handle it the same way, although I probably would of got my pepper spray in hand just in case he tried anything more than just harass me.

I don't react to anyone that is just mouthing off .He looked the fool.I would have however defended myslf if he started to get physically agressive. He shot off his mouth pretty big but in the end he didn't walk his talk.I am not in a situation like that going to jump up and look the agressor.

Good story Desos72,
You have self control. Remember you might be a deaf mute person or someone that
does not speak or understand English.
So I liked when you never even looked up. (a deaf man). You kept this guy from pegging you. You sir are a very wise man.

He was just that like a regression to the 7th grade....The bully found out that those around himwere nowable to defend themselves and did't like it.

It reminds me of an observation I made, I wasn't sure I was seeing what I was seeing until my wife confirmed. A lot of guys who are big and bully like and walk around real tough , just looking for a fight, are the ones who seem to be the most affected by open carry. My wife was laughing and pointed one of these guys out to me at Fred Meyers who was walking around like that , and then all of sudden when he saw me his demeanor changed. You could tell he didn't like the equalizer at all.

Deros you did a great job andwere a lot more long sufferingthan most. I would have told him that if he didn't leave I would call 911 and report a harrassment in process. I did this with our so called security guards out here and when I told the dispatcher I was armed they sent a deputy a lot quicker than normal. They also patched my call through to the deputy so he could here the gaurds yelling at me.

Thanks for the kind words. I firmly believe any other response would have been ill advised.By the time he had left he had not yet made any physically agressive moves toward me.But I do think also even though I did not aknowledge him in anywayhe understood I would have defended myself and there were witnesses.

I also have it on record that I did report it to the police in case he trys to start something in the future. When we have the Willow Lake Meet July 18th anyone who can should stop by that Safeway and thank the staff and Andrew the manager, the girls at Starbucks for supporting me and us.

This is dangerous. He should have looked up and watched this guy without saying anything. I would have kept my eyes on him the whole time so as to make sure he didn't pull anything or try to come up and sucker punch me...

Next time, just watch what they are doing but don't say a word. Keep alert and stay safe!

I don't believe Deros wasn't paying attention. He served in vietnam and has more training than most of us. If I was him I would be using my periphials. But still ignoring him like I didn't see him.

Come on I'm not an idiot...Combat experience did teach me something .I had the guy in my sight at all times even though i didn't have tolook updirectly at him.He was to my front and behind a self check stand and it would have been a rukus if he came toward me. I knew where he was at all times. Also the checker was right next to him and watching the whole thing.

I don't think is was dangerous. Desos72 did the best thing to avoid a fight. An eye contack with a man like that can set him off.
Desos72 said he was reading the newspaper, I bet he was just looking at the paper and his side vision was scanning the area. His mind saying be cool be cool.

Around town, no, you shouldn't have any troubles.

If you go into a casino, you will likely be trespassed if you OC. I have found them to be about as understanding about carrying a firearm as the casinos in Vegas.

Most of tribes are laid back about it just around their reservations in my experiance, but the casinos are "nervous" zones. :quirky
