i am looking to buy a glock 39 but see it takes .45 gap. what's the difference between this and .45 auto? is it just a shorter round?

45GAP = 45 power with the grip size of a 9MM/40SW/357SIG. GAP ammo seems to be only a bit (not "much") rarer than ACP but I haven't had much of any trouble finding it for my G38 and the difference in price between ACP and GAP has been negligible if it exists at all.

You won't find GAP at WalMart but every other place I've looked has carried it and the ammo hoarding has actually made it easier to find than ACP, at least in my experience.
