Hee, hee. Good point.I am nothing short of astounded at this information! Do you mean to tell me that out of the reported >1,000,000 people on that list, less than 0.1% have purchased a firearm?
Even more frightening when you consider that it take very little to get on that list. A friend of mine got on it a few years back for doing no more than making a bunch of short trips in a short amount of time and (the cynic in the both of us suspects), looking a bit "middle eastern". I guess visiting a bunch of friends and family during your short vacation (and possibly being dark skinned with dark hair) is suspicious.Anybody wanta bet this is the opening shot in a campaign to gin up public support to deny firearm purchases to anyone on the no-fly list?
"(Gasp!) More than 800 people on the watch list were able to buy guns!?! My god! Why are we letting terrorists buy guns!?!"
I'm on the list. I'm white, and haven't flown for over a decade.Citizen wrote:Even more frightening when you consider that it take very little to get on that list. I found out by going to the airport... The JBTs come find you when their face recognition stuff notices you walking around.Okay so call me stupid, but how can I find out if I'm on this "no fly" list?
