I often cry at weddings and patriotic events , when the emotions over come me . This 4th I plan to renew my commitment to this great nation .

Patriotism means being part of an informed citizentry .

Patriotism means exercising dissent by speaking out and always voting .

Patriotism means being willing to fight to protect the things like freedom and liberty that make the United States of America great .

Any Second Amendment / 4th of JULYcelebrations planned ?

Wiser than a white manstatement by President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Sonia Sotomayor , is again in the news .Sotomayor's Ricci decisionhas beenoverturned by the SCOTUS . Gun rights advocates continue questioning Obama's choice for the SCOTUS .
