I’m going to start the official sign up thread for the Grand Rapids picnic to be held at Riverside Park on July 26. The location will hopefully be across from boat launch #2 (near the playground equipment, and pavilion) , at 1200- whenever. Please bring a dish to pass, a drink, and table ware.

We still need someone who will commit to showing up early to reserve the tables (first come, first serve), and someone who will act as a press liaison.

Like I said before, I have a smaller propane sized stand up grill I will drag with.

I don't have a cooler so I was looking at getting some food items.

I posted this in a couple places so I'm hoping to get more people interested. There is a couple people at my work I am trying to get to come, but one is on vacation until next week. If I can get him to confirm, I'll see if he wants to bring some picnic items as well.

    Is the flaoting banner avail?

Also has anyone emailed the newstations so they have advance notice?

Bumping this one back up to the top.

It's next Sunday, and I've been hearing about people who are not members of this forum attending.

How much water do we need? I can bring that. I work for a water company here in town.

Shoot me an email if you would. I'm not on here much.

I am going to have to bow out of this one... Family conflict.

Hopefully everyone responds what items they are bringing before Sat afternoon.

I'm planning on making a trip to the store that night to get some items, bugers/buns, plates, cooler and some ice, gas for the grill, condiments, and some other picnic type food.

I have to pick up a holster yet, all i have is my crappy factory Springfield one.

I'm bringing great baked beans, people seemed to like them at the Jackson picnic, at least they ate a lot of them

    Hey all,

Brand new to the forum, would like to attend on Sunday. I work until 1500 so I am hoping that people would still be there at that time? Also, I do not know what else would need to be brought. If someone could let me know if people will still in fact plan on being there after I leave work and what I should bring, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum dbark.

I don't know how long it will last. Last year people were still there talking until about five or six o'clock. OTOH, last weekend at Jackson was rapped up around three, so who knows. Just swing by and if we are there, then join us.

Also, for these events there is usually a sign up. See the Events thread for what is needed, however if your going to be that late, maybe a desert. I can't say for certain we will still be there, but wouldn't be surprised if we were. I think we left the K'zoo shindig at about five.
