Hey, neighbor (Huntersville here). I will be watching for responses to your post, as I'm interested in local groups as well.

    Thanks for posting!

I know of Shooters in Gastonia and Firepower in South Charlotte/Matthews.

I was looking more for an assembly of real people, not just on line. Clubs, rallies, etc.

Rowan Wildlife is a great place to go, but you have to be a member unless you want to shoot skeet or trap.

It is a drive for anyone from Charlotte, but the Uwharrie National Forest has a gun range and is inexpensive. You have to stop at the Eldorado Outpost on the way in to pick up a pass. $3/day or $30/year. They have a Rifle and Pistol range. The rifle range appears to be about 100yds and the pistol range about 50yds, please correct me if anyone knows for sure. You need to bring your own targets with you and something to attach them to. Remember to take out what you bring in and pick up your brass. I have been a couple of times and enjoyed it.
