Boy... this issue's hotter than a ten-cent pistol. This Bill's goin' as a rider... 'Same way the Dem/Libs have been pushin' stuff for years... on the back of main Bill's that have nothing at all to do with what's bein' proposed. '"You want this...then you gotta take that." I don't like it... but that's how the game is played. Nuthin' new. This time tho... it's the Conservatives. 'Same way they pushed the Nat'l Park Carry Bill on the back ofthe Credit Card issue. 'Bout damn time they wised up. to this tactic.

I understand how some see it as a State's Rights issue... but realistically, there's some states that flat out deny the 2A as a 'Right'. Maryland forinstance... eliminated the right to bear arms from it's state Constitution in 1867 in advance of the adoption of the 14A the following year.'Can't have no former slave negros ownin' guns runnin' around.'Maryland is a 'May Issue' State'... but good luck with that gettin' a CCW permit in MD. MDcurrently honors NO out of state CCW's... Zip... Nada.

Unfortunately... the bill does not affect those states which do not currently permit CCW. Arizona used to be one of those, as OC was the only mode of carry.(Carryin' a pistol here has never been an issue... only the method.) On the plus side... I see that as a hedge against claims of 10A incursions by the Feds. Those states that do not currently issue CCW's will not be affected by the Bill.

If this Bill passes... the socialist state governments of MD, NJ, NY 'n similar are gonna squeal like stuck hogs. They could react adversely by banning CCW altogether in those states, or cave and become 'Shall Issue'. I suspect the latter. But... that's just my opinion. This is a Civil Rights issue... 'n there's no way around that. It's an effort to make regular the Right to bear arms... even tho Concealed. Yeah... I understand some will equate this with Drivers Licenses... but that's an Interstate Commerce problem. I s'pose at one time States licences were not universally accepted... but that was way before my time. This is the universal receprocity acceptance for the free exercise of a Constitutional right modified by method. Ideally... they'd just tell the states and DC to abide by the Constitution and eliminate 'permit'. Constitutional Carry. Then everybody would have to OC with CC possibly being retained as a state option.

Yes I want to compare who voted for the National Parks Carry Bill vs this one. I want to see who switched between then and now. I'd like to throw some money at the turncoats opponents.

Every one with a Nay is a Traitor and an Enemy of the Constitution.

This is already done for us in the Constitution in the Full Faith and Credit Clause. Someone (The Congress)just needs to Enforce the Friggin Constitution on these rouge states....

Its not about State's Rights.... THEY HAVE ALREADY AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THE CONSTITUTION.... ITS ABOUT ENFORCING THE AGREEMENT.:cuss:

Has anyone noticed that many of the people clamoring for a nation-wide federal mandate allowing concealed carry, are also cheering the various "state sovereignty" resolutions declaring that intra-state gun sales are not the purview of the feds?

I need more duct tape. The cognitive dissonance is reaching the red zone.

Agree - same people want it both ways.

Congress had to do the National Parks, since on fed land.

This issue is State's Right's not fed. See my other posts above. I am very glad it failed at the fed level, now let's make it happen at the State level.

70,000,000 gun owners all joined and the 2010 and 2012 along with into the future elected all 2A people to office. Think about that one. 70,000,000 voters in one party - BS talks and ACTION walks then the job get's done. Ready to join ?

Thank you for reading about the Constitution Party. The accurate (cut and paste is your friend) quotation from the Preamble is (with a bit more for spice),

Preamble

The Constitution Party gratefully acknowledges the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of these United States. We hereby appeal to Him for mercy, aid, comfort, guidance and the protection of His Providence as we work to restore and preserve these United States.
Without a 'higher power' one cannot even be a Deist, as some of the Founding Fathers were, and is stuck with humanist relativism.

If that doesn't answer your implicit question than rephrase it and I may try again to help. There are no non-believers in the trenches of conservative politics.

Although
Reminds me of a story. A soldier was feeling "the urge" when he spied a fox in heat. He grabbed it and started - uh - "using" it.And even though he did not believe in God, he found himself praying he wouldn't get caught when he heard hissergeantwalking toward him. The moral of the story?

"THERE ARE NO ATHEISTS IN FOX HOLES" :celebrate

No conflict that I see, guns that stay within a state don't affect interstate commerce. Permit holders traveling and presumably conducting business across state lines does affect interstate commerce.
