OC is legal in Louisiana.
My parents live in Arkansas. Myparents-in-law live in Texas, and own land in Oklahoma where we spend many long weekends a year.
Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma are strict no OC states. Furthermore, they have restrictions on travel with a firearm. In OK, you can't have it concealed OR loaded. If it's unloaded and put in a compartment then it's illegal. If it's out in the open and loaded then it's illegal. Texas and Arkansas laws restrict vehicle carry to "traveling" only. So if I'm up there and want to go to the grocery store with a firearm, that is illegal.
I need a CCW permit to safely carry in these other states.
I just wanted to throw that out there - not everybody who gets a CCW is "bowing down to the state" or "refusing to exercise their rights." It's just practical for self defense if you ever leave your OC state.
