Isn't that the OC way?

Exactly. My dad was supposed to go and I was going to get him to OC there but he wasn't feeling well. I did get my sister and her fiance to go. And I got all three of them GSL buttons and he even signed up with VCDL. So I guess I helped 2 people. It was also good for the two of them to see me carrying openly in front of police officers. I feel like that is one of the best things for others not familiar with OC to see.

That is what these events are about to me. Introducing new people.

If every member of VCDL member brought one (1) new member a year, our numbers would double each year.

There are those that do more than that but too many "let Mickie do it."

Greater numbers = greater influence.

Speaking of OCing, I am curious of to how many people carrying parked in the school parking lots without realizing. The number of vehicles in the non-school parking area seemed small in comparison to the number of OCers I saw.

That is a good argument to at least get rid of any ban on the otherwise lawful carrying in the school parking areas.

I wouldn't park in my alma maters parking lot, as it would be illegal for me to leave my car (I have a CHP). I arrived first and called Chris (richarcm) to tell him to park 1/ mile up the street at the county parks offices. We then walked to the fairgrounds. There was a sign that said only volunteers and others with some sort of special pass could park on the fairgrounds. I was open-carrying, and I wanted to follow the law.

I was there with a friend and there was WAY more than 200 people there but they were spread out over a HUGE area and there was room for thousands more. I was both carrying concealed and openly. I am in a wheelchair and had my P3AT on the factory lanyard around my neck. Saw several people sneeking pictures of it. Here are my pics of the events:

Yes - I would have done the same had I not been able to park on the fair grounds.

I had to park in the school lot at first. Since all my guns were lost in a tragic boating accident, I didn't mind.

After speaking to several staff members (Which necessitated me going to church on Sunday), I was told I could park on the fairgrounds.

It was then that the salvage crew found my guns and I picked one up on the way to the new lot.:uhoh:

In other words, you flashed your Press Pass at them, threatened to take their picture and write a story about their lack of consideration for members of the 4th estate and got preferential treatment - right? :p
