[size= Bauer is a former U.SW. Coast Guard Lt. Commander, former Bellevue city manager and has served as a finance director in Portland, OR. He holds a masters of public administration from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. in government from Columbia University in New York City.[/quote]

Figures. Nothing wholesome comes from UC Berkeley.

Well, I never met Mr. Bauer, so one must withhold judgment about his judgment.

It seems, however, that he may be a hoplophobe, which seems to be contagious these days among public officials. For the life of me, I cannot understand why.

Law-abiding gun owners don't hurt people, and the simple sight of a citizen packing a firearm should not cause alarm.

However, there was that woman at the Willow Lake apartment thing a couple of weeks ago (I missed that part of the event...) so I dunno. :?
