I received this from a another OCDO member....

Response from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Ref )‏

Thank you for your message.

Dear John,

There is no policy against customers carrying their handgun in our stores as long as he/she is legally licensed by their state to carry.

As a private property owner, Wal-Mart has the authority and ability ask customers to leave or to remove their handgun on case-by-case basis if it is causing any kind of a problem.

For further correspondence regarding this issue, please reply to this email.

Sounds very typical of a corporate outlook on firearms policies.

Which of course applies to all businesses. It's private property, and they can change their policy whenever they want, as many times as they want, for any reason they want. And it doesn't have to be in writing and it doesn't have to be a manager.

We need to stop the practice of waiving letters and emails in the faces of the staff of private businesses when they don't like OC.
