Gun Clubs in Virginia

Fyi, I did email the owner of the Marksman but have not heard back from him.Next time I see him in person I will ask again.

Hi Mick. We're having an OC dinner next Wednesday night. If you want to get together and talk with like minded people. Just check out the Tidewater OC dinner thread. Hope to see you there.

While picking up a new toy today, I sat down with the owner of the Marksman and talked about my email and possibility of using their facilities. Unfortunately it is a no-go at the Marksman. It basically boils down to insurance costs which I definitely understand. He didn't know of any other places around here that offered something likea "club" atmosphere.

I talked to a fellow ammo-buyer at Walmart today and he was telling me there is some really expensive ($1600/year) club down in VA Beach and even had a hotel on premises. Unfortunately that is a little out of my price range and preferred driving radius.

BTW: Since gun sales have dropped off a bit, the old (less-frantic) atmosphere is returning to the Marksman shop. I enjoy dropping by to shoot and talking to whomever is working.
