Does anyone know anything about the Farris Firearms school in Smyrna? I'm seriously considering reserving a spot for their 2 day course for NRA Handgun Safety Instructor Certification, that's coming up in Sept.

Looks like I might have a chance at helping out the Sheriffs office with their HSC classes if I can get Certified as an intructor. From what the deputy currentlyin charge of giving the course has told me and from what I've heard from others, it may lead to me taking it over.

Leroy Farris also offers the occasional HCP class at OnTarget in Murfreesboro, and is excellent. He's a certified military firearms instructor as well as a long-time Brentwood policeman (retired). He's competent, confident, down-to-earth, and direct. If you can take one of his classes, do.
