[align=center]Open Carry Picnic Planned for Ted Fritsch Park(Saturday, August 8, at High Noon)[/b][/align]

Thanks to our members’ contributions at http://www.opencarry.org/carryland.html, OpenCarry.org is pleased to be running radio spots on 3 of the finest radio stations in the Green Bay – Appleton – Osh Kosh metro area this week starting Tuesday, August 4[suP]th[/suP].

The 10 second ads will run simultaneously on WIXX-FM (pop), WNCY-FM (Country), and WTAQ-AM (News Talk) – listen to the spot at http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/attachment.php?id=6764.

The objective is raise awareness of open carry rights in Wisconsin and drive listeners to OpenCarry.org’s landing page where they can “take action” by signing the online petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/wi1848oc/petition.html to repeal the Wisconsin laws banning open carry in vehicles and school zones, and by contacting their legislators.

And at high noon on Saturday, August 8[suP]th[/suP], open carriers will be meeting up in Ted Fritsch Parkfor a little get together over burgers and other barbeque treats. Says picnic organizer, Fernando Silva Jr., a frequent open carrier in Green Bay:

“The picnic should be a good time - right now I expect just me, a couple of guys, and probably my nieces, but who knows, some more folks just might show up. I’ve never had a problem open carrying, including one time bumping into some police officers.”

Carry on!
