Howdee Ori-GUN-er's ,

Skip Coryel has been nice enough to chose me to be the Oregon State 2AM = Second Amendment March, state coordinator.

I am now putting together a town hall meeting the 1st one is going 2B in southern Oregon in Medford at my large commercial building space in a shopping mall I manage.

I could use some help in whatever capacity You think you can of.

This will be a OC friendly event , in fact wear "2" OC pistols, ;).

What say You ?

regards
Steve

Steve,

I am interested in this meeting. I would like to learn more about the Second Amendment march. Is O.C. an absolute necessity or can one come C.C.? I ask for one reason. I would like to see some unity among both crowds. I personally C.C. 80% of the time. But really don't care one way or the other. Just depends on the mood I'm in at the time and how the weather is. It's a personal choice.

What is the agenda for the town hall and scope for the venue? A discussion of guns and holsters, or how mean the police are, or how we can help make firearms a positive household word? I already have an opinion of firearms and holsters, and I have some friends that are/or where police, and every profession has their jerks, but the latter I'm interested in.

If there is anytime for thegun ownersto stop fighting each-other on stupid issues such as O.C. or C.C. andband together for the common good, it is now. The state of Oregon is as good of aplace to start as any.

Steve,

You must be the Steve that I was referred to at the Grants Pass town hall meeting yesterday by a woman with flyers for the spring 2010 Marches. I found this site through her so figure you must be "da man" as she mentioned something about state coordinator.

So I'm brand new here, 2nd post.

When and where?

My wife and I are both CHL andwere discussing starting or joininga group for 2A and OC around here as an "educational tool' for citizens and government alike. Glad to see there are others already working on it and we're ready to introduce ourselves and see if we're a "fit".

Well lets see, I don't care if you don't even own a firearm at this time as it pertains to the meeting and march it is not as important as Your "coming out" and taking a side in the cold war , or as Mark Levine calls it Liberty vs Tyranny

Unarmed, Open or Concealed that is YOUR choice.

This is a meeting of friends, friends who have not met yet, how does that sound ?

Personally I dont care if You conceal "without" a license / permit, I don't believe in permits to exercise Your 1st , 2nd A etc... I would rather have a room full of good guys with guns who have no permits, that one angry overboard A-hole armed & with a permit.

I am here to encourage all pro 2A persons to join together out of necessity.

I am open to discuss many Constitutional, moral, legal and social topics under one 2A umbrella awareness.

Speakers: I actually don't want to showcase legal scholars, PHD Constitutional history professors and the like, why, because I want more to encourage the Joe the Plumber's, the *William Kostrics <*YouTube him up , and other blue collar and middle America men & women of the world to come out , stand up , get over the fear of reprisal public speaking, disapproval.

I want You the unknown Joe to come out and speak, to vent and to practice constructive activism to harness your righteous right thinking common sence self.

I want YOUR social Constitutional activism to come alive, I want some of us to learn how to vent or keep anger from going over board and hurting the cause of Constitutional freedom by meeting up with like minds.

I want YOU to be heard in righteous activist spirit

The tech and gear stuff is a sideline to the main issue of Constitutional Rights.

I will be seeking gun shops & their folks who want to show , sell & promote who want to set up booths to come out and show there goods and goodies, but the main event is YOU speaking Your mind.

I would rather talk holsters and "how too" before and after a town hall meeting.

I am and I am sure You are interested more in American Traditions, Liberty vs Tyranny, social conditioning , creeping revolutionary socialism and other such issues that are coming at us like a tidal wave of anti freedoms.

Side Note: My "venue" mite not be open to a 2A town hall even tho my boss who is the owner of the shopping center is 100% pro 2A, he is trying to get a new tenant into the empty space I want to hold the town hall and the business he is courting is a food co-op which is about 95% liberal and he does not want to scare off a potential big dollar new tenant who has irrational emotional problems with guns, *sigh, so I am "working on it",lol.

I hope that answers Your question. :D

Hi Bruce,

Nice to speak with you on the phone today /Fri.

I don't know about being "the man":p, the closest I am to being an organizer is putting together small music festivals in the 90's .

The closest I come to being a political activist is being a story telling blogger on a couple forums, so my curriculum vitae is rather sparse , but then again I was born in America, I don't hate rich people, my Pastor is a nice guy, my friends are all patriots, I feel perfectly at home speaking my mind anywere anytime, walking around OC 90% of the time, and I did sleep in a Holiday Inn once , lol.

(insiders comment )> A C172 hummmm are You VFR or IFR ?

It was nice to speak with you as well. My first "into the city" OC went quite well and I'll be posting a new thread with the details once I post this.

I've been a politician having held two different political appointments in the past and was fairly activist in both positions. Not always to the smiles of the rest of the "system" but the people I represented were happy.

My wife says I "never met a stranger" and I'll strike up a conversation with anyone. I'll also impart my politics at most every turn. Basic Constitution rules stuff with a smaller government agenda.

I am VFR but thinking about the IFR ticket. I need to get my bird up to speed equipment wise first. By the way, the second 172 is for sale.

As for a location for the meeting. After consulting the commander out here (that would be the wife) I can offer our place. We're in the country, just North of Upper Table Rock (3 miles from Raineys corner for those who know it).
