I will be home on vacation and want to get my WA CPL. I have a WA drivers license and my home of record in is walla walla (military).

as far as I can tell all I need isto takemy WA DL and the $55.25 fee to the police dept. I am curious what information goes in to the application. Here in VA they wanted previous addresses (back 5 years).

any help is welcome.

When I applied, they wanted a piece of Washington State ID/Drivers License or Military ID. I can't remember if they asked for a social security card or not. They asked address history for the last 5 (or maybe 10?) years.

They asked about criminal history.. specifically felonies and domestic violence.

It was pretty straight forward. After filling out the paperwork, they brought me in the back, ran my fingerprints through their database. Everything was clear. They told me I'd be receiving my license in the mail within the next week. I got it in two days.

The law also limits the fees that can be charged to what is listed on the application, $55.25 last I checked, and that was last November.

I believe you can renew up to 90 days prior to expiration, I think you have up to 60 days afterand it costs extra.Thepermit is not valid during the 60 days after, until you renew. After the 60 days, you have to apply for a new permit and pay full price.

I got mine a while ago, but my wife recently applied for hers. all tha was required address-wise was a current address. Some other personal info was required name and SSN IIRC, and a bunch of yes or no questions (domestic abuse, felonies, etc.....)

$55.25 out the door and a week later......permit in the mail.
