It gets better,the governor that signed that little legislative gem was then Governor...what for it...Reagan! Believe it. Sad, huh? Here's a couple of links for the interested.

I don't know if you can OC in Colombia, South America or not. That is where "Cali" is located. The state on the left coast of this country has several abbreviations: CA, CAL and CALIF are a few. "Cali" is not one of them. "Cali" is a city in Colombia, South America that has a lot of drug dealers and home of the "Cali Cartel".

Its sad that kids these days hear someone coin a phrase or name for something (in this case, "Cali" comes from a rap music "artist"<criminal, most likely>) and it becomes commonplace in our language. I lived in California as a kid. Both parents were born and raised there. This "cali" crap is a recent development and NOT what normal English-speaking Californians call their home.

I remember as a kid my dad shooting gophers with his .22 rifle in the backyard of our house in Orange, California. He used to bring it with us camping on Lake Isabella and into Sequoia National Park, too. When did CA gun laws "go to chit"???
