I'm there. Will we have an MOC banner or anything? How will I know where to find everyone from afar? (I say afar, because I know there's gonna be one guy that's going to say 'you'll know it's us because we all have guns on our hips, dummy!')

Yes, we will have a banner set up.

I sent an invite to the state rep for that area and plan to send one to city council as well.

Glad to hear you can make this one!!

The odds are I'll be able to make it.
Answer every question about open carry in Michigan you ever had with one convenient and free book- http://libertyisforeveryone.com/open-carry-resources/

The complete and utter truth can be challenged from every direction and it will always hold up. Accordingly there are few greater displays of illegitimacy than to attempt to impede free thought and communication.

Good chance I will make this one also, if I make it back from KZoo in time.

I will bring soda-pop, some chips or pretzels and will try to provide some plates and forks.

New member here---besides showing up armed, is there anything I have to do or anyone I need to notify to say I'm (we're) coming? List of stuff for a dish to pass? First time for me, any info is helpful. THX

Do we want to move the picnic to the fountain right in the middle of the heart of Warren in light of what happened to one of our members just today?

Nope Just make sure you're familiar with all the applicable firearm laws, if you're not, then it might be a good idea to leave the pistol at home or in the car. If you can bring a dish, that's great and appreciated, if you can't, please don't stress it.

I'm ok with doing this, I'll also be ok to do it next month, either way

    I'd support two picnics.
Hopefully the other one will be on my weekend too.

I'm wondering if we shouldn't get some sort of head count before we mention what we're going to bring. I was planning on dropping by Meijer's deli and picking up some potato salad and maybe coleslaw or something, but I don't know how much to get.

Absolutely no point in getting a head count. Probably half or more of the people who show up to picnics do not belong to this website. They hear about it from a friend, or read about it in the newspaper.

Just buy what you can afford, don't overdo it, and know that there will always be WAY too much food at these picnics.

    What's the average turn out? 10? 50?
I hate to bring way too much, or not enough, ya know? This would be my first OC meet, so I have no idea what to expect :P

    Varies WIDELY..

Some picnics have had 6 people there... some have had over 100..

This picnic sounds like it is going to be pretty big.. so I'd guess at least 50 people, maybe 75 would be a fair guestimate.

I wouldn't say you have to plan for bringing food for that many people... Thats a lot.
