For the record, may there be an afterlife if for no other reason than for people like teddy to get exactly that they deserve.
So there's a deity that finds it worth its time to set up and maintain an eternal prison and punishment factory wherein souls are harvested, placed into this prison and given a perpetual series of tortures, sufficiently brutal to satisfy the vengeance of the deity? Who qualifies for admission, all humans, or all moral actors? If there was once a gorilla capable of moral action, is he on the eligible list?

Who staffs such a prison, and what compels the staffers to toil in their punishment deliveries, in perpetuity? What sort of deity is capable of such a vicious imagination? What if the staffers tired of the perpetual monotony and laid down their scourges?

All the while, this deity maintains an eternal paradise that metes out lush rewards, in perpetuity.

Doesn't this view of "judgment" sound just a little too close to the brutal and vindictive quality of lesser man's nature? It cannot escape notice that hillbillies carry around an obnoxious accountability fetish.

I wonder just what sort of deity would want to trouble with running either set of barracks?
Smoking, since it dwells within the realm of fantasy for you, why do you always imagine a bad fantasy?

Perhaps "hell" is a place we make for ourselves? Or it is a place that already exists?

And there is this deity somewhere that would very much like it for us not to go there, but many simply insist upon it. There are many in this world who insist upon doing evil and harming others, when they could just as easily live and let live. Maybe this deity made a book that tells us how to not end up there?

If you must use your imagination, why can't you ever come up with a 'fantasy' that even resembles that which is described? Oh, yeah, becasue it wouldn't make any sense to hate it if it was in any way congruent with the 'lore' that already does exist.

I often find myself in line with the bumper sticker that says "God, please save me from your followers!" Usually, because they are hypocrites making stuff up, just like you seem to on the subject. But I at least read the book, and really can't find anything to hate in it. Read the while thing and tell me where you can find that pre-marital sex is a sin? Or Polygamy? Many things that 'the church' calls 'wrong', well, it just isn't in there.... I have a beef with mainstream religion because it is nothing but blasphemy unto itself. But I don't have to make up inflammatory lies and deliberately insult people.

Circular reasoning.
Like...who made God?...and who made who made God?...and where did who made who made God come from?, and who made that place? No kidding, saw all this questioned in South Carolina.....it's kind of like the human mind has no possibility of understanding the perfect void....a vaccuum...absolutely nothing in a given place, can't be done, that's a fact....so we cling to the afterlife, because we do not have the ability to understand....nothing. This is fact...sonofabitch me all you want to.. you are just sonofabitching fact, not my opinion. See a shrink if you think I'm BSing you.

The law, which calls for a special election no sooner than 145 days after a seat becomes vacant, was passed in 2004, when Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., became his party's presidential nominee and Republican Mitt Romney was the state's governor.

Before the change, the governor would have appointed a replacement to serve until the next general election.

The move could be critical for Democratic maneuvering in the Senate, especially on health care legislation. Kennedy's death leaves the Democrats with 59 seats in the Senate, one shy of the votes needed to block any GOP filibuster.
Isn't it interesting that Ted Kennedy was the one who pushed to get the law changed in 2004 to protect the Democrat seat and then when he found out he was dying started pushing to get it changed back, again to protect the Democrat seat. This lion of the senate who put the people of his country first (hack, cough, cough).

OKAY MILKMAN. THE JIG IS UP. Either you are Phil Hendrie or you are a fan of his trying out characters on the internet.

For all you who don't know, Phil Hendrie is a guy who runs a kinda whacko "talk show" where most of the "guests" are actually made-up characters voiced by Phil, who alternates between the mike and the telephone.

Most of these "guests" are purported to be major or mid-level big shots, such as Bobbi Dooley, "President of the Western Estates Homeowner's Association" (Whose latest project is a campaign to prevent kids from gettin injured becaquse of texting while driving. Sounds good until she reveals that the name and slogan of the campaign is "glance up" once in a while.

Then there is Robert Greene, CEO of Fisher Foods Southwest. One of his gigs is telling clerks to question singles or couples who come in late and buy one zuchinni or cucumber or a can of crisco as to "what they are gonna do with that" (because he doesn't want his groceries to get a rep as sex toy stores).

OR how about Ted Bell, owner of "Ted's of Beverly Hills" who owns a McLaren and thinks he invented the run-and-coke (he calls it a "Ted". It's a steakhouse and the motto is "Here at Ted's...... We wnt to put our meat in your mou(BLEEEP)"

There is more but see, when I see some guy posting anonymously and saying he owns a 400+ acre "hunting lodge" and estates all over both coasts but he gives himself a screen name I know he must be full of it. Especially since a former investigator such as myself would have enough info to run down his identity pretty quickly. Regulatory agencies, State tax records, local real estate assessors, all public information. All I would need to do is just sift and match.

Of course it would be pretty easy to find out MY name, it has actually been posted here by me, and so has my pic. The State has a list of common carriers and their addresses. It's public and mine is on it. But somebody with such outlandish claims and they have time to post and post and post here, when just managing all that stuff would be a pain and besides folks with all that money don't need to and generally don't worry about the rights of us peons, and hence wouldn't bother with this site.

SO, MOOKIE. No this is not a CC site although many here hold CC permits. And you sir are a phony character aand either you are here on a lark of some kind or you are up to some kind of no-good such as trying to get us to say extremist things that might get us in hot water. Begone, I say; begone and take the other noobs who just came here to be jerks with you, Toodles.

Washington Times headline today:

Senator lies in repose at JFK Library

Now, I've never thought much of Ted Kennedy; but I think even Mark Twain would admire a politician who can tell lies even when he's dead. That is taking professionalism toa whole new level.

Alexcabbie:

I am none of the things you said, so go ahead and cross reference me and find out for yourself. There is no "400 acre" place, it's merely a little over 80, and I don't have "estates", as you say, just plain homes. So now that you have, in your mind, made me out to be larger than life, let's set your little mind straight.

I simply bought profitable properties over time, there's no big story to it, no headlines, sorry. And anybody can do it, once youown a single property it's really not that hard. The fact that I had time to "post and post" here is beacuse I am on vacation until September 7, after that my posts will be at night. Yes, properties are a burden, but you can learn about property management companies and do as I do, let them cut into the profit so you have more time for yourself. You really made this out to be so much more than it is, and I thank you for inflating me, it felt good to feel important for a split second.

Now, about the part of me trying to get people here to say things that get them into trouble...that is insulting. Read back and see who was trying to get people NOT to make bad posts and to be more careful about what they say. I may not have many posts here, but you didn't either when you first found this place. You don't own it, I won't go away, and if you need to be Master of your universe go somewhere and do it. I don't work for you, never will, and I sure as hell won't go away cause little old you said to.

PS-while you are searching me look under dairy farms, the right articles will reveal all, then you will have your answers in black and white. (milkman-get it?)

Mook, you sound just like Bobbie Dooley. Yall go to YouTube and search "Phil Hendrie Bobbie Doolie". Now if that isn't Joe in drag I don't know what is.
Here's your last hint......MILKMAN....It's so easy, but man you are gonna be disappointed when you find out I'm just a regular guy, wife/three kids, couple houses, and I gave the farm away. It's all there, you just need to do the right search, stroke the right keys, and it'll smack you in the puss like wet five pound baloney. Now I'm going to YouTube, to watch some Todd Rundgren videos.

Which is why a true patriot who wants to end socialism fast, assists in the most effective way possible.

And the most effective end to socialism so far has been to collapse under it's own weight.

Yes, but as many in Russia might tell you, when it collapses all it's weight falls on the population. We need to push it over, so it lands on places like san fransicko where it started.

The more of a burden it becomes, the more the sane reject it. Soak up every 'public' dollar you can. Hell, YOU earned it.

So, I should tell my Congressman to vote for more stimulus money, completely nationalized medicine, cap-and-trade? :):p
