Does anyone want to contact recreation@desmoineswa.gov and let them know they need to consult with their legal department regarding their sign at the parking lot entrance that states "possession" of a firearm is prohibited?

I don't live in Des Moines, so I thought this might be left to someone who is more geographically desirable. I did double check the wording too. I'm sure they meant to say "discharge" but this seems to be one of those things that park employees/sign makers just don't think about.

Sad though... a park gets its name from an officer killed in the line of duty. :(
