I am thinking about going to Front Sight training in Nevada.

Has anyone on the forum gone to training there? Ideas of what to expect and feedback would be great.

I'm scheduled to do their 4 day defensive handgun class in Nov. I have a business partner who took the class and really liked it. I'll give a personal report when I get back.

The good I have heard has not been very specific, just your general I liked it type comments.

The bad I have heard was that they criticize you if you do anything not exactly their wau.

I had a chance a few months ago to go for free as a guest of a lifetime member but couldn't afford the trip and ammo costs at the time, but the two friends who did go said it was well worth going.

I have been to Front Sight 3 times. I have taken the 4 day defensive handgun, the 4 day tacticle rifle and the 2 day shotgun.

The training is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. The advertising hype is a little obnoxious sometimes but the training is great. I am taking my daughters down in November for the 2 day defensive handgun.

Right now Front Sight has a special going on to get a certificate for a 2 day defensive handgun course for $100. Well worth it in my opinion.

Here issome of the infoif you are interested. (They are more proponents of concealed carry, but the training is what I go for)

Every day I receive numerous pleas from people to
provide a more affordable opportunity to attend a Front
    Sight course.

College students, retired people on fixed incomes,
disabled veterans, single moms, and people with every
other imaginable situation have e-mailed or written me
asking for a more affordable opportunity to attend a
    course with Front Sight.

Well, if you can follow some very simple directions as
outlined below, you can secure a certificate to attend a
Two Day Defensive Handgun Course for ONLY $100 and use
the certificate at ANY time in the future.

This is the same Two Day Defensive Handgun Course that
normally costs $1,000, but I will make it available to
you through this very limited, Special Course
    Certificate Offer for only $100.

That's right! Only $100 but you must follow the very
    simple directions to the letter.

    Here is how it works:

    1. The Certificate is good for you to attend Front
Sight's Two Day Defensive Handgun Course at any time in
the future and has No Expiration Date.

    2. The Certificate is good for a student's first course
only. Certificate is transferable, but not redeemable
    for cash.

    3. Simply mail a personal check or money order in the
amount of $100 made payable to Front Sight along with a
    Self Addressed, Stamped Return Envelope.

    Mail your check to:

    Front Sight
    P.O. Box 2619
    Aptos, CA 95001

    4. The deadline for postmark of your envelope is
September 25, 2009. This means you must drop the check
in the mail to us before 5:00pm Friday September 25,
    2009.

    5. Upon receipt, we will mail you back, in the Self
Addressed Stamped Envelope you provide, a special Front
Sight Course Certificate good to attend a Two Day
Defensive Handgun Course at any time in the future with
no expiration date. If you decide at any time in the
future you cannot use it, the Certificate is fully
    transferable.
