Can I have an asbestos jumpsuit to protect myself from wrist mounted flamethrowers?

Cool when you consider they are virtually unregulated weapons in most states and one can make it with some simple components.

I don't know about it being unregulated. Most of the state and federal laws include wording to the effect of "other dangerous weapons".

It's still neat though. I wonder if it would be possible to make a flamethrower about the size of a pistol. That way you could just pull the trigger and it shoots a continuous stream of fire.
