Smith and Wesson 640 vs 642CT

I am thinking about getting one of these for concealed carry. I can either get the 640 without ct or the 642 with crimson trace grips. Does anyone know if its possible to get the 642 CT without the internal lock? or should I get it with the lock? Also can you get these guns "new" for a good price at the nations gun show/showmaster gun shows?

Id go with the 460, personally :). Sorry, haven't held a 640 so I can't comment.

642 no-locks are available new from dealers and gun forumsas well as the 642 IL's, you just have to shop around forthe best price. You could alsobuy a no-lock 642 w/o the CTand find one for sale later on from internet sites like Gunbroker.
