Open Carry In Independence KS?

Hi Sorry to bother you guys. I was just wondering if it's legal to Open Carry in Independence KS and figured someone in here might no. I tried and tried to ask my good buddy Google first.

I got this this info by way of http://www.independenceks.gov/City-Code-48435.aspofficial Indepence city link. click on city code and it takes you to the link above. type in different words like guns, gun, firearms, weapons, kifeand different codes will pop up.

I don't have time to look so please report back and if your open carry do a video.

I found both of those links before giving in and posting a thread and I couldn't find anything, I searched for every key word I could think of. Gun, knife, weapon, firearm, as well as combo searches including words or phrases like carry, or open carry.

I believe Independence is totally a open carry city. below are the codes I found. Please feel free to search the cities web site you may find something I didn't.

Sec. 74-22. Discharging firearms.
No person shall discharge firearms in the parks.
(Code 1977, § 14-102a.)

Sec. 22-89. Firearms; fireworks.

No person with firearms or fireworks shall be permitted to enter the cemetery or the grounds thereof, except that firing squads will be permitted in the cemetery on ceremonial functions.
(Code 1977, § 6-225)

Sec. 34-26. Declaration of emergency.

Whenever the mayor, or, upon his inability to act, the vice-mayor of the board of commissioners, determines that an emergency exists as a result of public disaster, mob action or other civil disobedience causing danger of injury to or damages to persons or property, he shall have power to impose by proclamation any or all of the following regulations necessary to preserve the peace and order of the city:

(1)Impose a curfew upon all or any portion of the city, thereby requiring all persons in such designated curfew areas to forthwith remove themselves from the public streets, alleys, parks or other public places; provided, that physicians, nurses and ambulance operators performing medical services, utility personnel maintaining essential public services, firefighters and city authorized or requested law enforcement officers and personnel may be exempted from such curfew.

(2)Order the closing of any business establishments anywhere within the city for the period of the emergency, such businesses to include, but not be limited to, those selling intoxicating liquors, cereal malt beverages, gasoline or firearms.

(3)Designate any public street, thoroughfare or vehicle parking areas closed to motor vehicles and pedestrian traffic.

(4)Call upon regular and auxiliary law enforcement agencies and organizations within or without the city to assist in preserving and keeping the peace within the city.
