Is this an OC friendly tea party?

I'll be working during those times. Next time if I have more notice I hope I can attend.

Because of the pathetic school-zone restrictions, apparently in the war-memorial building there is or was a 'school' classroom or something. I don't even know if it still exists, but I DO know that the milwaukee police department has the war-memorial as a school, thus the 1000ft 'zone' extends to part of veterans park. I dont know exactly where in veterans park the event will be, so I don't know what to tell you, other than, at work, you won't have to worry about it. ;)

I will come down when Walker comes into the forum and answers the questions posted for candidates.

Once he starts recognizing us as a substantial organization, I will start recognizing him as a substantial candidate.

Same with Nuemann.

I find it rather peculiar that Scott Walker has still not attempted to answer the questions posted for Candidates.

Walker has also ignored requests to speak at the Tea Party Event in Hudson ( Which is an Open Carry Event)

Funny enough Walker is speaking at a Tea Party down in Milwaukee at a location which would not allow anyone to open carry. And don't tell me he couldn't pick a location that would allow open carry.

It doesn't take much to figure out where Walker stands on the gun issue.

What about the energy symposium? Walker did not even acknowledge his invitation.
Lawton also backed out. It will be Mark Todd and Mark Nuemann participating in the symposium.

Walker supports T.A.B.O.R. and yet he is holding a TEA Party. That in itself is an oxymoron.

As I stated before he is for privatization, and IMHO, that means loss of jobs.

Just another Tommy Thompson Rerun.

I will not vote for someone who the media tells me is the "Front Runner."

The media said the same thing about Mitt Romney and Hillary. Gee, where are they now?

By in an earlier thread someone talked about not trusting a person whose Last name could be used as a first name.

Scott Walker also fits that bill. Walker can also be used as a first name. Remember G.W. Bush?

Is Walker sponsoring this event on Saturday? I don't see any mention of it on his web site. All it mentions is a parade in LaCrosse on Saturday at 10:00AM.

James you really need to pull the Scott Walker stick out of your butt. ;) Its clouding your vision and even your reason. This is NOT Scott Walkers Tea Party. This is THE CITIZENS tea party. SCOTT WALKER DID NOT ORGANIZE THIS TEA PARTY JAMES!!! HE DIDN'T PICK THE LOCATION, HE DIDN'T SCHEDULE THE SPEAKERS. HE HAD NO INVOLVEMENT OTHER THAN TO BE INVITED TO SPEAK.

This is a tea party for people who believe in freedom and want to show Obama and the democrats andrepublicans who supportbig governmentthat socialism isn't the way our country needs to head.

You might know that there are many issues facing our freedoms today including unprecedented massive government spending, government takeover of private enterprise, impending government takeover of healthcare. There is much to be concerned about beyond the myopic view of JUST one of our essential freedoms "guns".

Vicki McKenna, a very outspoken PROPONENT of our cause will be speaking among MANY others.

James... You are so off base you need a GPS to find direction here:

First, as I said, this is NOT Scott Walkers event.

Walker supports T.A.B.O.R. and yet he is holding a TEA Party. That in itself is an oxymoron

The Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR) provides citizens with protection from massive government expansion. Please explain your baseless accusation that TABOR and a Tea Party are an "oxymoron". Do you even know what TABOR is?
But the most important aspect of TABOR is the control returned to Wisconsinites. Under TABOR, any and all tax increases would go to referendum during regularly scheduled elections. Any budget surpluses are returned to the taxpayers. The principle couldn’t be clearer: Government only gets what it needs, while citizens get to keep more of the fruits of their labors. No level of government should be allowed to keep money that it doesn’t need, nor should it be allowed a line of credit on the taxpayers’ property

Third:
As I stated before he is for privatization, and IMHO, that means loss of jobs.
You might look back at the history of government bureacracy in this country James and realize that BIG GOVERNMENT is very inefficient. Free enterprise and competition have led to MUCH more efficient organizations than government bureacracy. If there are jobs that are cut because of privitization its to the benefit of the TAXPAYERS. And the subsequent stimulation of the economy from more money in the private sector performing efficiently will provide standard-of-living PRODUCTIVE jobs for the people who were eliminated from a non-productive innefficient government bureacracy. If you find this hard to comprehend, I'll loan you my economics degree. (cum laude tyvm)

By in an earlier thread someone talked about not trusting a person whose Last name could be used as a first name.

Yeah, THERE is a real logical fact-based justification for an assessment of someone. Good grief. Whats next? You gonna tell us who to vote for based on their astrology report?

Well Hugh, just as you have made your points on Mark Todd, invoking your 1st Amendment Rights.

I will continue to do the same about Walker.

You can continue to believe what ever you want about Walker, I firmly believe and it is evident that he is anti Gun. If he does pass a CCW Bill it will not be without cost to those who choose to OC.

You may accept that as an acceptable compromise, I do not.

As A state employee I have heard Walkers position on all of the issues. He will not get my vote.

And I surely wouldn't vote for him because he is a local boy, that is for sure.

While walker isn't "Sponsoring" this TEA Party, he sure is using it as an opportunity for free media attention.

Vicki Mc Kenna is all about ratings so I won't even get into that.

You came on thread and made your comments about Mark Todds, religious beliefs, his stance on Gay "Marriage" and what ever else you wanted to say about the man. Therefore others have the right to do the same about Walker.

When you compare the two Walker has a hell of a lot more black marks then Todd does that is for sure.

Every election, people all vote the same way. They end up picking the proverbial "Front Runner."

Why? Because, he's the one who is going to win (According to the media), I would just be wasting my vote on the other guy (According to the media).

I don't know about you but I for one am sick and tired of all of the empty career politician promises that are made every time elections come around.

Look deeply into Walkers background during his career.
here is just one incident with Walker, if you like I could find many many more.
http://ineffect.blogspot.com/2006/04/scott-walker-scoresagainst-his-own.html

If he wants even a chance of getting my vote he needs to answer the questions posted in this forum both clearly and precisely. Until then I know where he stands.

I understand that there are more issues to worry about in this state. I was paying taxes probably before you were born.

That fact is many of those issues can not be changed by the Governor alone. The Gun Rights issues can. This has been years in the making and the time is now. Making foggy comments and leaving yourself room to sneak out the back door just don't cut it.

All of Walkers talk about privatization tells me he is only concerned with the interests of big business and to hell with the small businessman.

As many times as you have made the comment that it isn't about guns, just stumps me. Because that is what this site is all about. I am beginning to wonder is Walker was to win the election and sign into law the ccw bill that Doyle vetoed ( Thank God, because it was a compromise), if it would be OK with you then if the laws you have cited in the petition were to be left as they are?

No one really knows now do we? Because Walker won't talk about it. That tells me he is shady and a typical career politician.

By the way, a great example of T.A.B.O.R. :

You pay taxes for your trash pick up. The city, town or village would be allowed only a certain amount of the tax monies for that service. So if the money runs out to bad, it's your garbage you deal with it.

You are wrong James. My taxes DO NOT cover trash pick up. Thats why my taxes are lower than taxes in other cities near me.

And THANK GOD. I'm single and I make VERY VERY little trash. I take care of my trash myself. My neighbors who make a ton of trash contract with a local garbage company to have their trash picked up. THEREFORE only the people who MAKE garbage pay for it. THAT is called FREEDOM my friend. THAT is called self-accountability. And it FAR outperforms any government program or big government department.

James, I asked you via PM and I'm going to ask you again. Do not use my real name on the forum and remove my name from your postings immediately.

First off I never received a PM from you concerning your name. I have seen your first name used many times in this forum and did not realize it was an issue for you since you have actually been on TV and not only given your name but also shown your face. I will keep this in mind for future reference. No offense intended.

I could care less if someone uses my name in this forum. You have used my first name on numerous occasions.

Secondly, many people in this state pay city taxes that are used to cover the cost of trash removal. Your taxes for trash removal may not be on your tax roll, but guaranteed you are paying them some where. Some one has to pay the garbage man.

Yes, this I misstated, he is not holding the TEA Party, just speaking. But he won't speak at the one in Hudson. The people in the north woods don't matter. Besides he has been misleading the people of Milwaukee county for years, why not continue doing so.
Again, please read this article, he hasn't changed since it was written.

Thats is what all career politicians say, it is best for the tax payers. The same story the politicians have told the tax payers in many other states where they have found that T.A.B.O.R. doesn't work. But hey, Wisconsin has always been the last to learn the good lesson, why not continue.
So for the people who actually do pay city taxes to be used for the collection of Garbage, when the money that they have paid for the services runs out the tax payers then have to remove their own garbage. Even though they have already paid as much taxes as in previous years.
No one has a line of credit on my property.
It will be interesting to see how many ponzi schemes will come of that.

No thanks don't need your degree I have two of my own. and by the way I graduated at the top of my class with double honors and a 4.0 GPA and have the transcripts to prove it.

You should try to explain how good privatization is to the taxpayers of this state that will lose their jobs. I am sure they will be very interested in your opinion on why this is such a good thing for them.

In the mean time who will pay their mortgage and their bills?

Watch the unemployment rate go even higher then the record highs we have now.
Gee what if it effects your job, will you be in favor then?

By in an earlier thread someone talked about not trusting a person whose Last name could be used as a first name.

I wasn't in agreement of that post, I was pointing out the different rational of the voters.

James... Its unfortuante your degree wasn't in economics. I'm not being a smart ass, but most people (like you) don't understand at all how the entire economic cycle works.

If I actually thought you had the desire to be open-minded about it, I might take the time to explain the economic process to you here, but like most short-sighted voters, you only think about tomorrow... You only look one move ahead. You don't look down the road at the big picture.

There are volumes of economic data to support how economies prosper when their resources (labor included) are used most efficiently and most productively. There are volumes of data to support how much more efficient the private sector utilizes resources than government does.

The short-term loss of jobs from privitization would be offset by a sustainable long-term growth in productive private sector jobs for the very people who would then be employed by the private sector in efficient production not the public sector in innefficient roles.

I know your mind is already made up. Hell, you latched onto a freedom-ignorant candidate for governor within seconds of him stroking your myopic gun-rights only view of government. So "carry on".

I'll be at veterans park on Saturday with thousands of other people who care about ALL rights. Not part of the PROBLEM of people like you who cherry pick just a few.

I keep hearing of the event, but not a word as to what time it all starts. Is it really ONLY 3PM to 5PM for all these people?

Let's not forget who Vicky McKenna is married to. A Madison hardcore liberal...

I'll be voting for Walker because I dont want Doyle getting in a clone of his. Sorry to add the the ridiculous flamewar.

Bringing my 14-year old son, who begged me to take him.

PS., Use this event to get you riled up to DO SOMETHING, not just appease your frustration. I know so many hardcore right-wingers that listen to talk radio, feel better, and hope someone ELSE does something about it for them while they do NOTHING. The left fights harder, and they fight dirty. Complaining means they win every time.

See you all there

-Kancho.
