This passed the house, and was supposed to take effect 8/28/09, but it doesn't say it passed the senate. Does anyone know the status?

    This is just one section:

Currently, political subdivisions are allowed to adopt ordinances
which regulate the open carrying of firearms if they conform to
state laws. The substitute, removes this authority and requires
political subdivisions to regulate firearms in the same manner as
the state by adopting ordinances consistent with the weapons
offenses in Sections 571.010 - 571.070, RSMo, and with the
justification defenses in Chapter 563, except that political
subdivisions are allowed to prohibit illegal immigrants from
selling, purchasing, transferring, owning, using, or possessing
    firearms, components, or ammunition.

This make OC legal in all cities.

it died in the Senate Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence committee.

maybe it will get reborn in some way next year.

The committee hearing was chaired by Asst. Committee Chairman Senator Jack Goodman. He didn't have the balls to bring the bill to a vote to send it to the senate floor and let it die there in committee.

Senator Goodman wants to be sent to Washington D.C. We need to treat him like he treated us. Ignore him.
