According to other news sources, this isn't the first shooting or even the first fatal assault associated with this bus platform in the last year or so. I found reference to at-least one beating of a disabled man, and 1 stabbing.

According to the comments posted for at-least one of these on-line news sources, the bus stops for this areaare usedas hubs for gang movement.

Kent is the worst of em. Taking the Sounder through Kent station, they were always arresting some gangbanger or another.......part of why I refuse to take public transit.

I got stopped by an officer of the FWPD back in March because I was OC'ing across the parking lot at the transit center. The officer and I had a good chat and I brought him up to speed on OC in Washington (he was a transplant). He even took a gun rights pamphlet. When I got home I worte a letter to the Chief asking why his officers arn't up to speed on the OC gun laws when Fed Way was the first to issue a traing bulletin on the subject.
They patrol that thing pretty good with all the crap that has been happening.

The media overplays it to sell advertising.

Scaring everyone is just the method.

I'm from Federal Way. That transit center is a gangster hangout, I proudly OC through there when I've had to take the bus. I OC a 5" Tactical XD 45. This one black guy "gangsta" walked past me one day and said, "I bet my gun is bigger than yours." I wish I could have been like "I bet it's not."

Almost every transit center is filled with low lives. Especially Federal Way and Kent.
