David Codrea has posted his latest Gun Rights Examiner commentary on candidates for Congress who actually answer David's detailed questionnaire. See:

We've seen two Republican contenders for Chet Edwards' 17th Texas Congressional District seat respond to the Gun Rights Questionnaire. A third has also responded, and, unlike his rivals, provided the specific answers requested: Darren Yancy.

    3. Please give some examples of gun laws you consider constitutional.

    DY: Open carry laws

    4. Please give some examples of gun laws you consider unconstitutional.

    DY: All others

    9. What specific gun laws will you work to get repealed?

    DY: Anything past open carry.

It would be nice if he'd fleshed those answers out a little.

Yes, his answers are confusing. For example in most States, open carry is legal because there are no laws that make it illegal. Therefore his assertion that open carry laws are constitutional could mean he supports a law making open carry illegal. Not knowing anything else about this man; I don't know how to take his answers.
