Is an Army Recruiter building a "federal building?"

Long story short, I got weighed at an Army recruiter and I had my concealed pistol on me. Of course, I told the good Sergeant First Class I had it, he didn't mind, I set it on the counter, got weighed, life moved on.

The way it should be about responsible firearm usage, but I digress.

I am just curious if the recruiter's station is classified as a "federal building" where firearms are restricted. This same recruiter's station has recently posted a "No Firearms" sign after the fact, and if requested I can snap a picture of it and post it.

(EDIT: Just added a bit to the last sentence to make it clearer.)

Federal property is defined as any property leased or owned by the federal gov't that federal employees regularly report to work at. Since a recruiter is a federal employee I would be inclined to say yes it is federal property.
