    PRICE DROP AGAIN!
    I have 1 taurus 1911 for sale.

    with heine straight 8 sights
    and wood bull head grips

    I will also include ranger t 230gr ammo and either a galco sto n go iwb holster OR a serpa sportster holster level 2 that has been painted.

    I have the 2 8rd factory mags and will include a 7rd gi mag
    also have the taurus key lock system and a 1911 bushing wrench included.
    never had a problem with it feeding JHP ammo and ball ammo

    asking $550 for it.

    DA/SA or SAO? Could you do me a favor & post when (if) they're sold? I might be in the market in another month or so when my contract/retro pay gets straightened out.

    1911 sao just like a mil spec. taurus just added all the nice stuff to them like ambi thumb safety polished ramp... and so on.

    OK so help the n00b out here. Can these SAO 1911's (Taurus or others) be made DA/SA by a gunsmith, or would it just not be worth the cost/effort?

    they do make a kit that is a de cocker and can be installed not sure about on a taurus it make take more effort.

    the 1911 with a double action would make john browning turn over in his grave:?

    i should clarify to my knowledge there is no double action kit, doenst mean that it doesnt exist though.

    there is no need though this is as safe of a gun your gonna get.

    These are probably the closest to a DA 1911 as you will find. The EAA Witness series has the added advantage of being able to convert between several different calibres. I'm thinking seriously about getting one for teaching new folks with, being able to progress from .22 to 9mm to .45 to 10mm would be awesome.

    Hmm, Ok this is news to me. I thought the "standard" 1911 had a DA first shot/SA following shots, like the military Beretta 9mm?
