I think they have scanners for up north as well, but this link has an online scanner for Metro. It is only one 1 channel at a time and lately has been northeast, but it's neat to listen to whether you like the police or not. Anyways, here is the link.

i am somewhat of a scanner buff and listen to Vegas some. The site you have linked has thousands of scanners, from all over the country if not world on it. Its a very good site, one I am a member of, use to stream my own scanner on it.

Just a quick note, I just picked up a Radio Shack Pro-164 scanner last week. And I can't believe all the BS that goes on in Vegas. It's not like only on Fridays & Saturdays nights, it's almost 24/7. Good thing I have my CCW to protect my family & myself. If anyone need Frequencies for Metro let me know. I'm looking for Frequencies for NHP.

You want Freqs for Las Vegas: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=1745

With your specific scanner, if/when Vegas or any other agency goes to APCO25 you wont be able to monitor them. Also, its rumored that Metro is going to Opensky which no scanner today can monitor. Dont know the status of that at this time.

Florida Shifted to "Secret Police Radio" several years ago, but still uses the old frequencies as backups and sometimes redundancy; they broadcast from the towers on the new AND old. Hopefully yours will go that way?

Was anyone listening in last night? about 4am, SW...sunset and fort apache area. I had patrol cars peeling out, sirens, and helicopters for over an hour. Would love to know what was going on in my neighborhood if anyone knows.

Ironically I was. I think it was a stolen vehicle that they were trying to stop. It ended up getting too dangerous though and the air unit needed gas, so they discontinued to pursuit at Russell Rd and the 15.

I decided to listen for a few minutes last night and within a minute or two of the audio starting, there was a radio dispatch cancelling a 407Z (robbery attempt) because a witness reported the alleged robber approached a potential victim, saw the victim was 413 (person with a gun) and fled the scene.

Guns save lives!

Where is the 434L - Legal Shooting number?
No wonder they don't have time to learn the gun laws, they spend all the effort
with radio traffic codes.:X
I cannot believe they went and made a code for stolen bait car, and ignore
a code for female driver working off traffic offense.:banghead:

Had one kick me out of squad car when I asked if I needed anything
else besides the box to receive the encrypted traffic.
I think it was the comment about how easy they look to remove that got
me on my way. He really wanted me to consent to a search, but valued
his squad car equipment more. Couldn't keep an eye on me in his car, and
rummage around in my car at same time. Was first time carrying in police
car and was sweating big time over it, but he gave me no choice.
I am such a bad boy at times.
