Of the VA hunting regs. Basically it says that in order to carry a firearm in a WMA you must be a CHP holder. Itdoes not say that the firearm must be concealed but you must be a CHP holder.

That's not quite right. After hunting season (Gun) opens, you may carry one without a CHP.
