What Wisconsin supporters of the 2nd Admendment are up against:

http://www.waveedfund.org/

Join an organization that supports the 2nd Admendment and theStateConstitution rights to firearms now ifyou have not so. The attached hearing list shows the organizations that will lobby against anyrelaxation of Wisconsin firearm laws.

This is but 1 organization which is bringing in ALOT of cash. Just "joining an organization" is not enough. That is why I believe we need a new unbrella group in WI to fight against WAVE and the other groups who are working against us. Don't forget those who have names which sound like they are on our side but only exist to line the pockets of those who run them.

There is not much correlation between gun restrictions and crime rate, contrary to what WAVE thinks. DC had a complete gun ban (until very recently ), but their murder rate is way higher than the rest of the country. IL, which has the next best thing to a gun ban (no carry) has a violent crime rate over twice WI's, which is the only other state that completely bans concealed carry.

It would have to able to pay its executive director at least $85,000 salary and benefits (per WAVE 2007 IRS form 990) to match WAVE.

Wow, if we had $85,000 to fight for gun rights in Wisconsin, we would have full 2A. Open, CCW, no matter... I might just fold over and pass out...

What do you think Jim Fendry's thirty pieces of silver were worth? Remember that these lobbyists make their living selling your vote. And they don't participate in Cash for Clunkers. This is rice-bowl politics writ large.

I see groups like this out there and realize that I can be thankful that there are a lot of people who "drank the kool aid" that dont own guns. Even if a honorable sheep dog saved one of these people they would still be against guns.

Joyce Foundation funding for WAVE:

This Chicago organization wants to rid Wisconsin of its pro-gun culture. Gee -- wonder why Illinois and Wisconsin are the only states without CCW -- doesn't have anything to do with the flood of money from anti's like Bloomberg and this group does it?

Note the agenda item to expand beyond the Milwaukee - Madison axis. Just like MAiG has been signing up small town mayors.

Please cross-post to other Illinois and Wisconsin pro-gun culture forums and blogs.
