I was Googling for AL caselaw regarding OC and found this fabulous repository:

    http://kurtbogle.com/guns/

There are directories for both OC and CC (Permit), which contain PDF versions ofAL court decisions and AL AG opinions on their respective topics. The final directory (qrep) contains 3 images which are scans of another AL AG opinion on OC.

Whoever this guy is, he's done us all a great big favor.

Well, since you're here, is it you? Or are you going to say that you "can neither confirm nor deny" .

First, for what it's worth, I wanted to thank you for putting all this together and allowing folks to download it. After 19 years of licensed CC in AL,I just found out about OC this past July. I've been busting it ever since trying to come up to speed on the OC environment here in AL. Most all I have found here has been reprints of the AL laws governing OC and references to the court cases. The courts are where the real decisions are made once an issue has been called in question. You have made the full text of all the pertinent court decisions available in one convenient place.

Second, posting your site to this board might draw more traffic than you care to accomodate. So, while I assumed it wasn't a "restricted access" site since it showed up in Google, I was more than willing to remove the address if there were enough people hitting it to cause you grief.

Those are the reasons I wanted to know. Sorry if I bugged you. I'm excited and serious about OC in AL and I'm working very hard to raise awareness of these (and other RTKBA)issues among my colleagues and my AL representatives.

I just put that info there for my own use. I can't guarantee it will stay there forever, but I figure other people might as well be able to use it while it's up.

The case-law isn't really that hard to find. If you have a worthwhile library close-by they will have a subscription to some sort of legal search service like LexisNexis. Auburn University also has a very comprehensive Alabama records section in the library (where I scanned the info from the AGQR). They are very helpful and will find the books you need quickly.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to be a student to use the services...
