Nationally syndicated television show sponsored by the NRA is looking for people who want to tell their armed citizen story.

We are looking for individuals who have had to use their weapon in order to protect themselves and/or others in a harrowing situation.

We want the public to realize that they do not need to be at the mercy of criminals. Help us make a wonderful show by telling your heroic story to the camera and the country. If your story is chosen we will come and interview you and film a reenactment of the incident.

This is for real, so serious responses only please. Also, if possible, please include links to newspaper articles, youtube videos, news footage, or anything related to your story in the media.

Send your story to: crimestrike@ati.la

Thank you, and have a great day.

CRIME STRIKE - THE SERIES
Current Season:Sept. 8, 2008 -Sept. 6, 2009
UpcomingSeason:Sept. 7, 2009 -Sept. 5, 2010
Documentary/ 30 minutes/ [BARTER 3.5N/3.5L]

Finally, a reality series showing citizens taking back their streets for their families. In this age of increased violence, easier access to dangerous drugs, and the growth of gangs, the Police are losing the battle. This series deals with how law abiding citizens "take back the streets" with the help of the police.
Focusing on how brave people make life or death decisions in seconds, information is discussed on such important topics as: child pornography, kidnapping, and how to teach your children to be "street smart."

Wouldn't mind my story being told, but I'd prefer they used an actor or someone else to to the filming. I don't like being on the other end of the camera lens.

That is completely normal. In fact, lots of people prefer the same, and we totally understand. Tell me your story. If you don't want to post it here send it to crimestrike@ati.la

I assume you want only documented incidents (for verifiability). I also assume you would mostly be interested in "shots fired" incidents.

All of mine have ended abruptly when the gun came out. Which is just the way I like it, but certainly not as dramatic.

Hey Daddyo,

Yes, we do prefer documented incidents, like you said for verification, but it's not 100% necessary depending on the incident. In regards to the "shots fired" we take all stories where a gun has helped in a crime situation. Not firing the gun in such situations shows a level of responsibility in the owner that we want to come across in this series. Our purpose is not to glorify the shooting of the weapon, but highlight situations were a gun, in the hands of a GG and used appropriately, has saved peoples lives. The firing of the weapon should only be last resort, but you already know this. It's the "public" we are trying to educate. I am very interested in hearing your stories if you would like to tell them.

Thanks Daddyo

I'm reserving judgement. Going to ati.la gives me a big ol' "malware" warning.
Sorry about that Daddyo, I had no idea. You can PM me, or send an email to crimestrike@ati.la. I'm gonna get the tech guy to check out the website, and see if we can't get that fixed. Thanks for the heads up, it's the first I've heard about it.

Well the idea sounds great, but any takers that there will be no stories
about using a gun against rouge cops allowed.
i.e. the maryland mayor and his dead dogs, the atlanta little ol lady,
the poor drug dealer who shot through his door.
the latest back shooting of the home owner.
Bet they even ban the New Orleans AK v glock, would love to see a
re-enactment on what happened with that one. Glock missfires? The
legal wrangling over getting that on the air alone would make a great episode.

But I would love to see a weekly show with video like the Arizona thugs
getting there buts whipped by the homeowner.

Title suggestions..
"Cops!, Where?" or "What Cops!" or "Dumb, and Dead":lol:

SeaTac apartment residents meet to discuss gun laws

04:51 PM PDT on Saturday, March 28, 2009

By CHRIS DANIELS / KING 5 News

SEATAC, Wash. - Some SeaTac apartment residents have a hard time forgetting the shooting which injured two people last month.

"It was a little unnerving," says James Beal, "I heard six shots."

Beal was home when a 17-year-old opened fire on a group of people. He's now trying to rally his neighbors together, while making a pitch about how he protects himself.

"I carry a weapon for personal protection as most people here do, and we feel it our option under the Second Amendment,” he said.

Beal helped sponsor a gathering Saturday at the Willow Lake Apartments, which he says was designed as a way to bring people together, to organize neighborhood "block watches” and talk about gun laws.

"I'm not advising it,” Beal said. “I'm just making sure people are aware they have the option.”

Roughly 40 people were there about mid-day, and a vast majority of them were carrying weapons.

Kristen Comer, of Operation Ceasefire, approves of Beal's effort to bring together the community to discuss the issues. But she says neighbors should ask themselves how comfortable they'd be with several apartment dwellers carrying guns.

"For the vast majority of residents in this area, is that what they want?” she said. “Do they want their neighbors walking around with the sidearms on their persons at all times?"

She believes organizers should be more focused on curbing access to guns on the secondary market.

King County Sheriff's Department Sergeant John Urquhart says anyone buying a gun should think long and hard about it.

"It's legal under state and federal law," Urquhart said. "But if you use your gun to scare or intimidate, that's violating another law, so be very careful."

Of course we don't BRANDISH our weapons... EVER. It comes out of the holster if needed or when it is being put away.
Most OCers have found that OCing does improve people's manners, though... :)
