Lawmakers had recently introduced legislation to move up the effective date of new credit card reforms by two months to Dec. 1. The House Financial Services Committee was set to hold a hearing on the legislation Thursday

Has anyone seen this bill? I am curious if this would also move up the effective date of the National Parks portion of the bill?

I can't find the bill they are mentioning

Here's a link to the House Financial Services Committee Hearing schedule for this bill.

The title of the hearing is:

H.R. 2382, the Credit Card Interchange Fees Act of 2009 and H.R. 3639, the Expedited CARD Reform for Consumers Act of 2009

    HR 3639

So if I read it properly, this amendment (if passed) would indeed move up the effective date of the gun regulations to 12/01/2009, as they fall under the general provisions of the bill.
