This is the manager that supportedour Willow Lake meettwice.I went in toget my coffee this morning and she rushed up to me asking where I've been. (I wasn't there yesterday morning)She said called the cops on a shoplifter that was sort of starting trouble and had the police tresspass him off the property. He was beligerent to her staff pulling out the race card and all that.Said because of his race she called the cops.As she pointed out she calls on all shop lifters there.Anyway she had me come into her office and check the video of the incident. This guy was also trying to claim the cops cuffed him and got rough with him etc.The vid I saw the cops showed excellent restraint ,never cuffed him and he was escorted out. Also she wanted to see if I have seen the guy.I have seen him around and he is trouble. They checked his record and big suprise he had a sheet a mile long.

That was yesterday. This morning before she came in another employee called her and said this guy was waiting for her.She said he was there and tried to start a race thing.anyway he left quick, but that is the point where she wished I or my friends were sitting at the Starbucks having coffee. So she had me hang around for awhile.

I could tell this made her nervous ,this guy is still running around,so if anyone would care to have a Starbucks with me there ,that would be awesome. She asked for my number in case she wanted to ask me to come up for coffee so to speak. The LEos around here are all pretty ok guys but there are not that many and they can't be there all the time.

They are good folk...and very supportive.Considering the gangs around here and LE is strtched pretty thin.I just walk up every morning to get a coffee and they are atease with me around and anyone with me.Same at my bank.Never a problem there.

I did just got chewed out in a good natured way by a Seatac LEO (he knows me) I was just walking back home though the parking lot across the street and he had a traffic stop .I was looking at something else and walked in front of his car .He just said don't cross in front when I'm on a stop.He had big grin because I was focused elsewhere and wasn't paying attention.Guess I have to watch that.

I was just relating what happened. It is nice to have such a good relation with local business.Open carry in this little area is becoming quite the norm.A lot of folks are used to seeing it.It really is a a small success so to speak when people tell you they feel safer when your'e around and the local LEO"S say good morning or wave when they drive by.

Is this all of SeaTac or just your neighborhood?

Had coffee this morning with DEROS at that Safeway, met with the manger briefly as well. Nice lady and completely supportive of gun rights in and around her store. She knows who the good guys are, and, who isn't.

What time all this happened? I was there yesterday twice, first at 12:30ish and then arround 3:00ish pm. First I was at US Bank and then later at starbucks, didn't notice anything. On my second visit I was there with DMPD Detective, we were there for about 20 min.

Have you tried to get the manager to a range or into firearms in some way? Its not a cure-all but she might feel a lot safer if she carried concealed.

There were two who were supposed to meet us there, but one got sick and couldn't make it. The other wants to go again as soon as she can afford it.

Ha ha ha

So SeaTac area finding out the wild west style of carrying works after all.

This should be a lesson for all open carriers....Deros, Manu, and Bookman have gotten alot of respect from a Large store like Safeway , who helped sponsor the last couple of SeaTac meets and their community. A large part is because of the manner and demeanor they have for themselves. I want to thank you guys for what you are doing and keep up the fine fight.
