For this winters snow season i want to run the liquid anti-deicing agents.... the problem with this is if you buy it from a distributor you will pay anywhere from $130-190 for 55 gallons.

Now... i have been doing some extensive research on sodium brine (salt water) and various other mixes... What i want to do is take a mix sodium brine with calcium chloride. This mix should in effect work as both an anti icing and deicing mix that would work in temperatures below -20F.

My only question is where can i purchase calcium chloride per bag or pale for a decent price? I have done some internet looking and have made some phone calls but no luck finding anyone in the local area that sells just calcium chloride... it either comes with magnesium and/or potassium chloride in the mix.

I am running out of ideas... and am hoping that someone here could help me find my CaCl2

    How much do you need?

Calcium Chloride, Dihydrate, Technical is the cheapest I've seen. It's $50 for 500g.

sciencelab.com sells a whole slew of bulk chemicals.

Well, Venator and KBCraig have their preferred de-icing agents. But it comes in 750ml bottles, seems expensive, and is imported from Scotland.

I'll make you an offer: I will argue and fight for all of your rights, if you will do the same for me. That is the only way freedom can work. We have to respect all rights, all the time--and strive to win the rights of the other guy as much as for ourselves.

If I am equal to another, how can I legitimately govern him without his express individual consent?

There is no human being on earth I hate so much I would actually vote to inflict government upon him.
