To: People of Montana
Petition to Potentially Recall U.S. Senator Max Baucus, (D) Montana

This petition is to survey the population of registered Montana voters who may have interest in recalling Senator Max Baucus from his elected position as senior US Senator from Montana. The recall of elected officials is allowed under Montana law, pursuant to Montana Code 2-16-603, on the grounds of physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of certain felony offenses.

It is felt that Senator Baucus has shown incompetence in his duties by failing to adequately represent the majority of Montanans. It is also felt that Senator Baucus has violated his oath of office by failing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. His actions and voting record show that he has gone beyond the Constitutional authority granted elected officials, and that he no longer represents the common citizen of Montana, but instead is swayed by special interest groups and party politics that are so prevalent in Washington DC.

The people of Montana deserve to be adequately represented at all levels of government by elected individuals who fully realize that they work for “We the People”, and that they must listen to their constituents and vote according to the will of the people and not their own whims or personal agendas.

If there is sufficient interest in this potential recall of Senator Baucus, which will be evidenced by the number of registered Montana voters who sign this petition, then a formal recall of Senator Baucus will be initiated following the protocol set forth in the Montana Code for such recalls.

Please note that persons signing this petition must be registered Montana voters for their signature(s) to be considered, and that no person can sign the petition more than once. Please forward this petition to any and all of your fellow Montana citizens who are interested in enacting future change in our Senate representation.

Sincerely,

I heard on Bill Moyers Journal that he has received $1.5 million from insurance industry. I know who he is working for, and it's not me or you, but himself.

That's why I signed the online petition to have him removed from office. The link can be found below:

If Max is not a true Demo. And he is as far left from being republican, independant, or liberterian. He must be socialist judging by the way he ignores what the people want, And the corruption he is involved in.

Can we recall Max Baucus and find a real Democrat to replace him as our representative? I believe that as a young man and junior senator, Baucus did have integrity and moral principles, but these have apparently been corrupted and crushed out of existence by the avalanche of money he has received from the pharmaceutical and insurance industries.

His many years in the Senate have brought him to a position of power where he has been able to do serious harm to the interests of his constituents while abetting the obscene greed of big business. This has left me sad, ashamed and angry for the support I and my family have given him throughout his career.
