I just spent $315.99 at Dick's in Short Pump.

If you buy Remington they have a rebate thing where you can get a gift card.

Yes, they still have some in stock.

And PS-The 10 box limit, they don't really care as long as you aren't trying to buy the whole stock of everything. I got 56 boxes!

Guess I dont have it like that either!

You should have come to the dinner last night, since you're in a spending mood. Skidmark was looking for a volunteer to pay the whole tab and I was nominated. :)

LOL Not my money, not my ammo!

No no, CC is sick she won't be social for quite some time.

I went to the Virginia Center Commons store Tuesday before noon. Their selection of buckshot wasn't good. I really wanted Federal 3" 00 buck. They had some buckshot and slugs, but it wasn't good.

If you just want to load up on regular 2 3/4 00, 4 buck, turkey, dove, skeet, it's okay.

Me too. Well, not that I went to that particular Dicks but I went to one hoping to find some 3" Federal 00 buckshot with their FliteControl wad's and they didn't have any. I know I've gotten some in the past there. I was planning to use it for the upcoming deer season. Oh well, this one didn't have much I wanted. Had some Winchester and Remington buckshot as well as Hornady Tap 00 buckshot.

They had Federal 00 buckshot with the FliteControl wads but only in the 2 3/4" version.

I called several more and none said they had any 3" Federal 00 buck. This does seem to be a good deal if they have what you want though. I don't usually see ammo on sale.

They also had Remington Core Lokts for like $12 a box or something after rebate.

Went to the Dicks at Stony Point.... meh. Got two small boxes of 3" higher velocity 00 buck for my 12 ga mossy. Felt ripped off. But, I did find a decent deal on some 9mm ball ammo. I always check www.ammoengine.com for good deals, and their lowest price matched what Dicks was selling their Remington UMC stuff for. So since I needed to supplement my stock, I got a few boxes of that.

Also, I'm sure it's been mentioned before in this forum, but did anyone else notice the sign on their door? It says that if you are carrying, you have to check in with them at the front desk, and if you are carrying a handgun, they want to see your CHP (which they actually posted as "CCW" on the sign). I was surprised, but I decided not to rock the boat, so I went over and asked the lady what was up. I was OC at the time, by the way. And she said something to the effect of "oh well do you have a CHP?" I didn't really feel like getting into a legal discussion, so I just showed her my card and she was cool. In retrospect, I though of telling her that Virginia doesn't require a CHP to OC, but I was pretty certain that it would have made little difference.

Do you all think that was the right course of action? Or could I have played it differently? Just wondering.

Did she give any reason for check in? I've never seen the sign, but, I never read signs on the way into a store. I don't want to know what they say.

Umm.... no, she didn't really give me a reason beyond saying it was store policy. And if you bring a long gun in for service, you have to be escorted upstairs by an employee. Guess they don't trust their customers that much.

Anyone have any luck getting the Remington Gun Club loads for $6 a box when you buy 10 boxes or more with this deal? The guy at the store told me I could pick one or the other and that the $6 a box was cheaper. He said something like "you don't get half off the $6 price" or something like that. So I figured the add probably said that the buy one get one half off couldn't be combined with other offers. When I got home and looked I don't see where it says that. Was he just making that up or can the two offers not be combined? Seems like they probably should be able to be combined since the add for buy one get one half off doesn't say it can't be combined with other sales that I see anyway.
