If you really want to be labeled a conspiracy theorist, start rolling all these miscellaneous theories together into one story. Most folks tend to agree with bits and pieces of various theories... not many believe they all go hand in hand in some greater scheme. I think many people choose not to believe it for a variety of reasons, chief among them: Fear of it being true and disbelief that such a thing could be happening.
The internet has paved the path to enlightenment. Never before in the history of mankind has information been so prevalent and quickly shared. Folks can communicate thoughts and ideas across the globe in a matter of seconds. And we needn't rely on big media, with all their corporate and political sponsorships, to disperse information. Cameras built into cell phones, with the ability to upload on the spot... blogs... social media... the methods of communication between world citizens are virtually endless. This is waking folks up.
It never ceases to amaze me when I meet a new person who shares my beliefs. Several years ago, I worried that folks would think I'm crazy for believing the things I do. Today, I realize there are more people like me than most people realize. The sovereign citizen movement is growing. The media and politicians alike both giggle when they see a group of us get together... what they fail to realize is that isn't some fad that will fade away like the counterculture movement of the 1960's. Times are very different today than they were then. Many of us work ordinary jobs and live ordinary lives, completely aware that our beliefs and ideologies rock the proverbial boat. We pick and choose our battles... we recruit gorilla style... we grow exponentially. With every new person laid off... every new tax imposed... every new corporate scandal brought to light... we grow.
Based on my interactions with folks, and believe me when I say they are immense; I would be willing to wager that as many as one third of this nation is waking up and embracing these "conspiracy notions". The other two thirds seem to be pretty evenly split amongst the extreme left and the extreme right. There aren't many people left in American who have not yet taken a side.
I don't think the government realizes just how disenfranchised the People are becoming. I'm sure they have some sort of idea, but I think if they truly understood what's happening in communities across America... the kind of things people talk about... the opinions they have... I think our government would begin making some sweeping changes. The fact that they continue, business as usual, just tells me that they either A) Don't truly understand, or B) Don't truly care. In either situation, it doesn't look good for the nation.
I hear from so many people, unsolicited, that they believe a civil war is brewing. They believe we are becoming a police state. They believe our rights being legislated away. I can't say I disagree.
Consider the fact that an AR-15 has increased in value more than the average 401(k) in the last 24 months... that should tell you something. Bullets are in short supply. Folks are beginning to stockpile food and water. Folks are exploring alternate forms of energy to get themselves and their family off the public power grids. People are leaving large metropolis' and heading towards more rural areas. There is a general distrust of the people in power. Police are frowned upon by many. Middle class America continues to shrink... and they're moving down the social ladder rather than up. People are growing more desperate. With desperation, folks take greater risks. Inner city gangs are not losing power... they are in fact gaining. Racial tensions continue to strain... economic battles continue to be waged... and the divide between Republican and Democrat is damn near as wide as the one between 1860's North and South. Corporations rape and pillage the American household, then when their greed virtually destroys them, get taxpayer-funded bailouts while the American people they looted get nothing more than the bill.
Money is an illusion. It's nothing short of a bearer bond... a debt instrument that carries no financial value other than what the government says its worth on some balance sheet controlled by for-profit banks. Try to cash your dollar bills in for the equivalent value in precious metals and you'll find it's impossible. We have printed more money than we have capital to back up. It seems that counterfeiting is only legal if you are a member of the cartel known as the Federal Reserve. We labor, only to be paid in a promissory note that has no assets to back it up. Adding insult to injury, our promissory notes are reduced by a slave tax. It's basically saying, "Look, we don't have the money to pay you... so take this IOU. Oh, and by the way, we're slashing 30% off what we owe you... if you don't like it, tough." The basic necessities for a human being to SURVIVE are taxed in America. Food, water, shelter... you cannot have any of the three unless you succumb to taxation. And if you choose not to pay taxes, then you lose your freedom. There are IRS agents who carry guns. Why? The IRS isn't even a government branch... much less an executive level of government.
It costs $3400 an hour to put a Blackhawk helicopter in the sky for one hour. And yet we fly dozens of them 24/7 in foreign airspace. Trillions in fake dollars being spent on unjust and illegal conflicts under the guise of "war", when no war has been declared. Every dime that any of us have ever paid and will EVER pay for the durations of our natural lives in federal income tax has been squandered in Iraq. Roughly 30% of the hours we put in at work... gone. 3 months of every year for the rest of your life... that money you worked for has been pissed away in a matter of 3 or 4 hours in the Middle East. Meanwhile, many people can't afford to pay their mortgages, heat their homes, put gas in their tanks. They go without simple things in life just so they can keep funding special government interests. Soldiers overseas getting paid $20,000 a year providing security for private contractors getting paid $150,000 a year. Nobody is protecting American workers from corporate greed... pay slashed, benefits decreased, all the while workload and required output increases. Pension? Forget about it. Social Security? Not likely to be around in the future. 401(k)? Those are now 201(k)'s. But hey, if you work for the government you get to live pretty fat.
Do you know how many government employees I talk to every week? It makes me sick. While the rest of us are toiling to make ends meet and eek out any sort of living during our retirement years, retired government employees are earning more than the average American earns while WORKING. $4,000 a month pensions seem to be pretty standard for a rank-and-file government employee. Oh... and many of them still qualify for Social Security benefits on top of that. I'm all for folks being taken care of in their twilight years... afterall, they've earned it. What I'm NOT for, however, is the government turning a blind eye to the private sector and calling it "capitalism" while they do everything in their power to take care of their own calling it "socialism".
I took a 50% reduction in pay and a 100% increase in the amount of hours worked. What kind of bullshit is that? If you round it all out, it equates to a 25% rate of compensation when compared to what I was at this time last year. Where's the government when I need them? Yeah, I know... I don't "have" to work this job. I don't "have" to put up with working an ADDITIONAL 40 hours a week with no pay. Tell that to my mortgage company when they send me the bill every month. I'd almost be better off going unemployed and letting the public trust take care of me. But it's not my style. I try to do the right thing, and this is how I'm rewarded? Thanks to all the politicians out there sticking up for people like me. You're more concerned with your next political campaign than you are with the level of abuse so many American employees are facing.
You ask a government employee to work so much as ONE hour over 40, and they go into a tizzy unless you're paying them time and a half. Private companies are seemingly allowed to violate labor laws by compelling you to sign contracts stating that you're exempt from the law. Certain industries have monoploized this practice. Anyone with a career in finance is virtually screwed, considering that every financial company in America has formed an alliance to drive their employees with slave wages and labor. Unless, of course, you're executive level. Then the sky's the limit... you can take what you want.
It's not just my industry, unfortunately. It's a practice that is quickly spreading into other fields.
I think what pisses me off most of all is that I realize I'm being paid in worthless bearer bonds. It is, in its most basic form, slave labor. Nobody in America is PAID anything... we merely have fictional assets transferred from one balance sheet to another... and in return we are allowed to redeem these credits for goods and services. At the end of the day, we never truly own anything... everything is taxed on some level, and refusal to pay those taxes results in the forfeiture of property. That's not ownership. In my book, that's called "renting and leasing".
